Nice one Steve :salute::

Happy New Year

Yes that’s one iconic scene. Especially like the terrain and hidden base. Well done Steve. Let’s hope he does not look back and realise the rest of the men have returned to the boats. Robin.

Very realistic scene, Steve; and that figure looks great.

Outstanding! Thanks for posting.

Cheers guys ! :salute::

Yes Andy has captured probably the most iconic image many of us remember from the Falklands War in this figure. A range finances dictate I won't be delving into, but I had to have this one !

He's just keeping a proper distance between him and the rest of his mates Robin, but it certainly looks a bit nippy out there !:tongue:

Nice one Steve!
I hope we might tempt you with one or two more ‘Falklands Heroes’ later in 2022….You do such a great job with them.
All the very best and a Happy New Year from Hong Kong!
Andy.

Thanks Andy :salute::

I never know what you'll come out with Andy, so best I say Never say Never !

Yes Happy New Year from England to one and all and hopefully looking forward to Monday and something in the VN range for me !

Thanks Jason and also thanks to everyone who's left a "like" !

Best winter ground work I've seen. :salute:: Chris

Thank you Chris !:salute::
Background photo is a Falkland Islands Winter scene off the internet which is what does the magic work of a believable cold Winter like landscape.
As you'll know I'm not used to devising Winter scenes as most of mine tend to be somewhere hot !
It was just a quick set up for the base, a JG mat with some table salt sprinkled on. Does look quite effective too. I gave the figure a good dusting after taking the photos to ensure no salt remained on the figure {eek3}
Going off on a ground cover tangent. If it were to be a more permanent diorama, I'd try mixing very fine sawdust with white matte paint and drying it in an oven as I have done in the past for the Red clay ground cover I sometimes use for my Vietnam dioramas, though I suspect with white paint I would have to do the process a couple of times so that the the sawdust was completely covered.

Ready for end of next weeks releases, this guy hopefully will have some support. Great backdrop Steve. Robin.

Great picture!

I am looking forward to the next release in this series, and I am really looking forward to the upcoming combat poses that Andy has recently mentioned.
