OTSN Attendees List (2 Viewers)

When it comes to finding stuff, I'm a rank amateur compared to Steven. My goal is not to necessarily get things but see people who I rarely see but who I count as friends.

As mentioned - nothing much Sunday but the show itself. Very large - rather crowded, lots of neat stuff but not the chances to talk to the dealer/maker in detail like you get in the rooms. There is a dinner for K&C (Friday PM) - attendance is limited but Treefrog had the tickets. Figarti has a great luncheon on Friday - see their posting to see if there are any openings left. Last year Matt from Hobby Bunker did some presentations on painting foam buildings, Ken Osen did some presentations and I think there were others.

Gald to hear about the Treefrog pins coming. Can we get those at "headquarters" (the Treefrog rooms)? Maybe all the forum members should wear a red shirt on Friday as a recognition signal?

Gary
The pins have been ordered and will be available in one of the Treefrog rooms during room trading (we'll be open by noon Thursday, at least that's the general plan) and I will try to have them at the show on Sunday as well.
The King & Country dinner sponsored by Treefrog Treasures, Sierra, Troops of Time and Sager's Soldiers will be Friday night at 7pm and you can order tickets from any of the sponsors. Spots are filling up but there is still time to reserve a seat. Always a great time if I do say so myself ;).
Ken Osen will be doing clinics on "displaying your collection" and "scenery" in Room II of the Frog (aka the Treefrog diorama accessory room) on Saturday and we're planning to look into getting some extra seating from the hotel for that if we can. These were very well attended last year and Ken was gracious enough to come back later in the day and teach some more because there were so many people interested in the topics. Ken is a whiz with diorama building and you come away with a lot of great ideas.
Hope to see a lot of you in Chicago!

Are the pins only for forum members because I can see a rush of non-members trying to obtain them just to have them.

Good question Alex,
Pins are only for forum members (or it would defeat the purpose) so we will have people sign in when they get their pin. They are being designed as we speak and I'm looking forward to seeing the finished products.
Regards,

Shannon,

Sounds good! Barring illness or injury I'll be there on Thursday afternoon and get a pin.

Okay, I'll stop by for a pin, beats the heck out of wearing a kilt.

I'm afraid they'd think because I'm not Scottish it would considered crossdressing.

OK - I have a Kilt too !

This picture is from a little trip to Nova Scotia not too long ago ;)

Great Ron, Now I'm going blind in one eye and can't see out the other.
FUB:D

Like me Ron, you have legs so blindingly white that you can only safely look at them with the special device a science teacher makes to view a solar eclipse!:D:p

Good heavens Ron! Next time you dress like that please climb into your Leopard II and only show your head out of the hatch.

Gary

Gary,

I think that sight would be scarier to the enemy than the Leopard:D

Aw, give the man a break. Haven't you guys seen Caddyshack? Maybe Ron was just reenacting the golf shop scene "looks great on you though":D. Whatever would Napoleon say, dressed up as the enemy:eek:.

Louis - You are right - I need to spend more time in the tropics working on that tan! :D

I really had a great time in Nova Scotia - on that trip - a great place to visit.

The Kilt was Mrs. Phillips' idea - yes we have matching Kilts  - oh the things we do for love !

The company that makes them is AMERIKILT : http://www.amerikilt.com

Its really a cool site - check it out. And like KV said - you really do feel comfortable going "FULL SCOT"  - if you know what I mean ! ;)
