I built this WW2 USMC display a while back, however in my haste to set it up I didn't 'camo' the sides and therefore not totally finished in my view.
I thought I'd post a couple of snaps before I remove the figures etc and give the sides a dust off of sand to finally complete it. I can post more pics if anyone is interested? I had loads of fun carving the palm logs, building the bunker and trenches. Cheers.

Great work mate! Already looking forward to seeing a lot more.
All the best,
Andy.

Spot the fallen Jap?

The palm logs in the foreground hide a concealed tunnel to the knocked out bunker on the left, which is fixed in place and hollow inside. In hindsight I should have made the bunker more collapsed and bomb damaged.

The dried foliage is old K&C stock and the dead palm fronds are from 'Last Post'. The palm logs are painted dowl that I carved with an old rusty wood file.

I like working with sand. Like snow display's its easy to cover bases and cover up a multitude of sins (screw-ups), plus sand is such a versatile material to play with. I originally was going to use more palm tree's, however most of the WW2 Pacific beach footage show total devastation and stripped trees & palms.

So pleased Andy and the K&C team dipped their toes back into this range. I rate these figures some of the best poses/sculpts K&C have produced in recent times.

Brilliant photos of an awesome diorama Toddy.
The USMC Pacific range was the first time I jumped all in on a K&C range.
