Here is a line up of Panzers I thru VI from K&C. Just thought it would be interesting to see them all lined up together for comparison. I would still like a late war Panzer IV (long barrel) and a grey Panzer III.

Very Nice. It would be good to be able to do the same with the jadgxxx AFVs but they have not all been produced. Also for the anti-tank AFVs like the long barrel stugs and Marder, Hetzer etc and also do a line for the SPGs.

What vehicles would be on this list and which ones have been made.

It may be necessary to shift a discussion like that to a neutral thread if people wanted to include armour from other makers..

Nice lineup. Is the Winter Tiger the same size as the Tunisian?

Thanks for posting the pics. I always wanted one of the LAH 68 s but they are bloody hard to get for retail and I am a cheap b%$@#d!

K&C needs to make a panzer I "Early war" the one with the big white cross on the side of the turrent!

I agree daruss and KV about the early war Panzers. I would like to see another Panzer I, and a Panzer III in early war grey. I missed out on the first grey Panzer II and every time it comes up for sale on ebay, it goes for way too much!

jbonzo - Yes the Tunisian Tiger is larger than Wittman's Tiger and the Winter Tiger. I wonder how large is the new Kursk Tiger that's out now?

Very nice, these look really good together:cool:

Thanks Rob. I thought about putting even more together, but that would've made for too long of a line.:) Terry had a good idea about maybe putting SPG's together or anti-tank AFV's. Also, might be good to see a line of US tanks or Brit tanks as well.

Plenty of Tiger 1 talk but, would it not be nicer to see a Jagtiger say, Otto Carious' last Tiger?

That would indeed be some peice and, believe it has never been done

If not then full zimmerit normandy tiger and, a whitewashed winter tiger for say, leningrad or kharkov theatres

wwiibuff - I just received the new Kursk Tiger from Bill Sager. The camo finish looks great, the best looking Tiger from K&C imho. I highly recommend picking one of these up for your collection.

I cannot give you a comparison to the Tunisian Tiger, but I can tell you that the Kursk Tiger is spot on at 1/30 scale:

Length (with gun): 8.45m actual; 28.2cm to scale - confirmed
Length (w/o gun): 6.32m actual; 21.1cm to scale - confirmed
Height (to hull): 1.78m actual; 5.9cm to scale - K&C model is 6.0+cm
Height (to cupola): 3.0m actual; 10cm to scale - confirmed
Width (w/combat tracks): 3.72m actual; 12.2 to scale - confirmed

Regards,
Mike

Thanks for the info Mike. Yeah, that new Kursk Tiger really looks good, just might have to get it.

As good as the photos on K&C's website look, it looks even better in the flesh. I will try to post some photos on my own dining room table - unfortunately don't have access to a scale Russian wheat field:) You can use these measurements on the Tunisian to see how they compare.

Nice collection. I've put mine on a shelf something like this myself to show the progression of German tank design. Glad to see I'm not the only one! I too want to see a late war Pz. IV from K&C. As PW said it would also be cool to display ( and I have ) the Jagd series, and SP series, all Brit armour, all U.S. Armour etc etc. I guess I have a compulsive need to classify everything. In my defense I don't display using diorama's due to space and time issues! It's always interesting to see how fellow collectors show their pieces. Thanks for sharing.

Excellent comparison photo. Interesting to note that 50% of the eight tanks pictured are for the Africa campaign. Will grey follow ??

Panzer Colour 1 (Bruce Culver) at page 31 shows Pzs 1,2 and 4 in March 1941 at Tripoli. They were all in dark grey.

Just my thoughts.......

I group mine by period and theatre. Never gave any thought to having a row of AFVs showing a progression, but I think I will do some of each.

Mike, I think they might be the same size. I have the Tunisian Tiger but not the Kursk yet. It's on my list, but other things are bumping it down!

The Tunisian Tiger also measures at 1:30 so the tigers should be the same size.
