This morning I was trying to figure out which ones that Andy has made since 2013 I'd like to buy since I have all the ones made before then so I decided to put them all together.

They're all pre 2013 except for two I purchased when the newer ones came out. Missing from the photo are The Souvenir Hunters and Captured.

Thanks WO. The Paras have been some of my favorite pieces from K & C.

I was glad to see that they made them again after a right or nine year absence.

Back in the day when I bought every WW2 item K&C produced I bought those mounted paratroopers. Never really liked them or what they represented other than maybe a single incident in all of WW2 that a GI got on a horse. Finally sold them. There were a few other sets that I look back on and wondered what I was thinking when I bought them.

That year the run of D-Day US paratroopers all seemed to be modeled after photos that were published in Michel De Trez' books about the US airborne landings in Normandy. The Souvenir Hunters, the mounted paratroopers, a trooper holding a surrendering German at bayonet point; they were all from original photos...

I didn't know that. Thanks for the info. I will have to look up his books.

Brad

Great collection of U.S. paratroopers. Really like that D-Day series and continue to collect it selectively to this day. Although my focus is on the Commonwealth side the U.S. paratroopers ( especially the 101st ) are my favourite American pieces in my collection. ^&cool

Great collection of US Paras there. :salute::
Steve

I have almost all of the original Arnhem Range and quite a few of the MG but not all. I just purchased a few more of the MG and they should be arriving early next week.

Love the old US paras Brad and thanks for posting. Some missing from your photos actually came with AFV's. Here's a shot of a couple...

That's right Duke. I'm missing one from DD 38 and DD 49.

I had collected W.Britains when I was a kid...plastic soldiers on metal bases. They were long ago left behind at my mothers house as I discovered rock and roll, cars, beer and girls...not exactly in that order(!). I was on a battlefield walk of Gettysburg as a Captain with my unit, when in a window in town I saw new, all metal Britains troops and bought a set--I was back into the hobby. A few years later, while living in Richmond, VA, I was only a few blocks away from The Toymaker of Williamsburg shop, and was introduced to King and Country.

That was 2003...I'll admit I'm prejudiced, being an 82nd guy by trade. I haven't missed a release of US Paratroopers since then, and have augmented with FJ's, Red Devils, Commandos, Rangers, and SAS/LRDG figures.

They've come a long way and keep getting better! These guys will add to an already expansive group, the cornerstone of my collection...

Very nice collection Brad. I have a few, not near as many as you. One of my prized possessions is the picture of the troopers in the town square. I had the honor to meet four of them at a gun show where they were selling the photos and prints to be signed. Got the four signatures including Guth and Buck COmpton. Chris

Brad, DD38 and DD49 are great sets. I love some of the old sets that have additional figures included.

Duke, I had DD 49 a long time ago but it suffered a mishap so I sold it. Have you used it in a dio?

Thanks Chris. That's pretty neat. There's just something about paras. Maybe it's because they jump from planes, something most of us don't do, that make them stand out. Obviously, Band of Brothers made them stand out too.

Brad, I think I did do it in a scene years ago. I need to get it back out and do a new scene with it soon. I plan to purchase some of the new Paras so I'll probably use them with DD 49 and create a new scene.
