Peking Gate figures (1 Viewer)

Martyn would be able to answer a lot of these questions but I don’t think he comes here a lot lately.

I believe this is 1st Sikh Regiment in their khaki uniform for BR. The 7th Regiment would have worn a red uniform.
Thanks for the photos, I also have some with grayish brown uniforms and darker blue turbans and maybe they belong in the boxer series. It seems like all the Indian sets I have got have all come loose

You're welcome to post the photos of your Indian regiments here, and we can try to identify them together

This kind of uniform were used for 127th Baluch Light Infantry or Frontier Force Rifles (e.g., 55th Coke's Rifles, 57th Wilde's Rifles)

martyn where are you? i am sure you will know or have some photos

Hi Guys

Sorry that I have not been on the Trophy forum for some considerable time, all is very good over apart from the UK Government

The reason I haven't been around is that my time has been taken up with one of my other main hobbies buying and selling rare "Northern Soul" 45 RPM records, both UK and US releases. I have collected US Soul music from the mid 60's through till late 70's along with everyday Pop that was released in that time period but over that last few years collecting Vinyl has come back in a big way in the UK and some Northern Soul records can sell for anything up to £10,000 to £20,000 each.....I haven't had any of those but I do have/had many that have sold for a very, very good price:cool:. I shall try and rectify my absence by appearing more regular 👍

Back to Trophy............I never collected Boxer Rebellion sets unfortunately, but attached are some flyers that I found in a 2003 Trophy catalogue, along with pictures of 2 sets of Indian Army artillery that I own these, hopefully, may be of interest.

All the best....now back to the turntable

Martyn:)

Nice to have another vinyl junkie here. Did you go to RSD Martyn?

Hi Brad

Vinyl bit me back in the early 60's, my mum used to pick up ex juke box records for me from a great shop in Battersea, SW London, one of the first was Quarter to Three Gary US Bonds.
Went to the 1963 Beatles Christmas Show at the Finsbury Park Astoria and I still have my minty programme, unsigned unfortunately. The collecting bug really took off in 1964 when the Mods and Rockers happened almost overnight, Tamla Motown, Atlantic and Stateside were just some of the favourite labels Mods collected. Excuse me for asking but what's RSD

Cheers

Martyn:)

Not too many independent record stores open in the UK, mainly Second Hand vinyl sellers only. Any special available on RSD show up eventually on Ebay. The 100 Club in Oxford Street used to have a special Northern Soul single available on one day a year, not sure if that is still happening though.

Don’t know about that. RSD was talked about on the Hoffman Forum.

Come join. It’s the largest music forum there is. There are threads there for every kind of music. There are probably more active threads and posts in an hour than there are here in a week.

Gary U.S. Bonds took the Norfolk (Virginia) Sound to the world. One of my toddler son's favorite songs is "A Night with Daddy G" by Bonds' saxophonist, Gene "Daddy G" Barge. Bonds took Barge's saxophone instrumental and added the lyrics to make "Quarter to Three."

glad to see you are well Martyn, and thanks for the info on the Indian artillery. kahki for the boxers and blue for the Northwest frontier. I was leaning that way but now you confirmed it. thanks
