Thanks guys. Will try to post more photos this weekend.
I will be awaiting more photos...these are very nice! By the way I have the French Dragoons (6 in a box) but I have no Bugler with mine...you happen to have another mounted Napolean for sale or a Bugler?

Very nice collection of the Napoleonics. There were actually two Napoleons and perhaps Lawrence can show the other one in the future. I don't collect the matte Napoleonics but have always loved the glossy ones.

Jeff,

They're not plastic, if that's what you mean, but maybe Andy got his inspiration from Herald. For example, some of his very early WS sets are based on or very similar to Airfix.

Brad,

I posted a photo of the other Napoleon in a blue uniform with the Dutch Grenadiers & Old Guard earlier

I hope you don't mind me asking, but are some of those re-painted Herald plastic figures? They just look very similar. ^&confuse

Thanks

Jeff

You are correct in your observation. As Brad put it, K&C was inspired by the old Herald figures, as well as Airfix, Trophy and Somerset :)

I do have another Napoleon & Bugler, but both have been injured in defense of the Empire :(

Dear Lawrence:

Super nice photos of many vintage glossy King & Country sets. My sale of my old early 1990's K&C sets really help me to finance my buying of post 1999 made K&C sets a lot. You have a great collection well displayed!

Gary,
Thanks for the kind words. I have admired your collection as well. In fact, there are a couple of sets you have that I am still hunting for, which is part of the fun of this hobby! The downside is that I have run out of room to display all the sets and some of the troops are forced to stay in their boxes until I decide to play with them. Hopefully I will be able to have a little bit more playtime. All the best, Lawrence
