post pics of k&c collections ww2 (1 Viewer)

Panzerace,
I prefer to keep them small. I love detail.I think that is the fun of making a dio.Put in as much detail as possible. But always based on reality.I spend more time on research than on making the dio.I gather all the info I can about a WWII picture or a quote in a book( do you know the series 39/45 published by Heimdahl ? Every article is detailed, hour per hour, battalion per battalion, and even company by company and illustrated with magnificent pictures never published before)
Keeping my dios small is also a question of space .I prefer to have 5 small dios on a shelf above 1 big one .

Here is the one in my office.

I usually take the scenes apart when we are done with them, but, a few stay around for a while to display my collection. This is one of the few.

Thanks Guy. Your small dios are top notch. I really like the detail you put in them.

Joe, great stuff as well, and Firebat too. It's always nice to see others collections/dios.

Here are a few more of mine.

My Birthday is Halloween, so I kept this one also as a display. Alex

The Market Garden figures would suite that rustic display cabinet also, hopefully they get a turn sometimes in there. Very interesting. Cheers, Robin.

So...I'm wondering about the second picture, did it all start out as three custom glass cabinets for this purpose...then it ran over to the sides because the planned glass area wasn't enough? Because what I see is planned bookshelves on each side??? I'm curious to know the facts because when I build my display cabinets I wanna know if the planning goes out the window!
