I like how you gloss coated the black boots. It's these kinds of features that really make a difference.
Joe

That is easy, I do it on all my matte figures.

What I do is give the whole figure a spray of matte finish, then I hand paint the polished leather with a coat of gloss varnish.

Simple :)

Here's Garde du Corps Officer I recently painted....

John,
That figure is brilliant; very well done!! The boots are just perfect.

Joe

Nice, but prefer wider bases, KC seem to do this lately also, bases are more stable and better looking large

I didn't notice this at all until you said something. I looked back at the photos, and I agree, the bases are not as robust in all dimensions as I would like for a mounted piece.

Outstanding miniatures. Not sure how many different castings are planned, but having different horse colors in a particular casting would provide more variety. I also like the standing figure, hope there are various figures in this basic pose, inclyding an officer, NCO etc...

Seeing that Series 77 base, brought back a lot of memories! :smile2:

Bases look just fine to me. - Never been fond of big oversize bases.

I think bases do make a difference look at TG romans compared to KC, both great but TG bases more stable and better looking as the overall figure stature

thanks tm jack, these figures look great. I will get all of the charging guys, not sure if i will get the at attention figures.
Thanks so much for keeping us in the loop and keeping us excited about your great figures.
Jas
they look great. I myself would not mind buying a row of the ones at attention although a couple different horse colors would be nice

The upcoming Prussian and eventually French Cuirassiers inspired to add a Model 1872 French Cuirassier NCO's helmet and cuiriass to my militaria collection:

I had bought the Cuirassier rig from the same militaria dealer I previously had purchased this model 1860 Chasseaur d'Afrique Lieutenant's uniform:

I already bought two items! I thank you, my wallet does not!{sm4}

I bought a pre-Franco Prussian War Tirailleur's Gilette (vest) and a child's Spahi uniform which matches my Harwin Spahi Doll:'

Actually guys my bad, the vest is a Spahi vest, not a Tirailleur vest, which would be blue and yellow.

Hi Louis, I have sold off my Napoleonic figures but kept 3 French Cuirassiers.
Do you think if i paint the pants red they will pass as 1870 French Cuirassiers?

I’m not knowledgeable about Napoleonic uniforms, but I would take John’s (Obee) word as gospel on the subject.

No way .... just check the pants, boots, jacket tails, helmet for a start !!!!

Thanks so much for the response. I cant see too much difference. I spot the colour of the pants and the way the tunic ends under the cuirass.... yeh the boots are a bit different..... maybe i just wait and see what TM have and then sell off my Napoleonics to fund my TM. I only got into the Franco Prussian war because Team do it all so well
