thanks for yr most generous comments on this modest project. I got lucky as usual with this piece.
got to pack up for the Xmas and new year period. Got guests coming and the house has to be spic or I get spanked. Actually looking fwd to it hahaha.
l ve alr started on a few other projects and will work on those elements in hidey holes away from the eye of Sargon. Such is the life of Frodo…. No that’s not a clue.
I posed these three unfinished figs into the scene to test for final fitting I removed the frame which would have covered most of the figures but which could still be seen if ppl peered into the scene from the sides. As y can see, the unfinished figs seem to blend in very nicely into the scene.
thank you for yr always generous comments. Here’s the three figures being pained and finally, placed into the scene. With the frame in place, these three figs are not seen. However if y peered into the diorama, you can see the sides. I think this diorama is finally completed and I hope that I’ve captured the panoramic scene. Thanks for watching
We need to start calling you Cecil B. Demille!:salute:: This diorama has a cast of thousands!! I love all of your dioramas, but this one is especially fantastic!!
thank y for y kind compliment. I actually started off on exploring dioramas with flat tin figures zinnfiguren. They had an extraordinary fascination in themselves and their small size and flatness meant that I could realise large scenes for display purposes. One of the earlier shadowbox dioramas that I explored was with a neckel hafer set of the Golden Calf. I recreated a 10 commandments tribute to one of my favourite epics. Converted the Moses figure to stand on a cardboard rock and just had fun. I learned about staging, wings, props etc. Here it is for yr enjoyment. Rgds Victor
Well...Victor, you have outdone yourself on this piece and the beautiful 10 commandments tribute which I watched the other day. Thank you for your wonderful talents and for sharing with all of us here on the forum.
thank for yr kind words. I’m just generally a lucky modeller to be able to finish some of my overly ambitious projects. Happy to share the creative fun with you lot.
While I was ptg other figs, I decided to darken up the cassocks of the two front priests, and also the jacket of the women and gentleman behind. Its not obvious but I just want to get the colour tones right.
