There is an FL Prussian Standard Bearer that just went up on eBay with a starting bid of $600. I thought this price was a bit extreme even for a rare figure like this. However, it is one of only a handful of retired Naps which I still need and this is the only one I've seen for sale in the past 18 months. For those who've followed this market for longer, would buying this be crazy or should I not miss this opportunity?

Just wait till you come acorss one, the sellers who sell retired items for ridiculous prices are up themselves, and you would be crazy to purchase at hight prices,

take your time you will come acorss one retail price or slightly higher, not 6 times the price

I haven't sold anything on Ebay for a long time but back then you only paid a fee once the item was sold. I also see now a lot of free listing offers from Ebay. Anyway I still think that $500 is too much for this one given what I said in that thread (you can get it from FL as a kit and commissioned the painting). $200 IMHO could be more attractive buyer wise but I am not the seller :wink2::wink2:

You're allowed a certain amount of free listings per month and even if you exceed that, the cost is miniscule.

Agree. I’ll tell you though, if you’ve been looking high and low for something and it finally shows up, ya never know what someone will pay eventually. I’ve been looking for one flag bearer, the only one I don’t have and I’d definitely pay a bit north of $300. Granted, I’m Insane, but I can’t be the only one!
