why want to add him to your block bidder list ;)

Well...............

the best I can do is honor my agreement...

I don't know what the "extra mile" is still...

I don't want a "negative feedback" for doing what I promise...

I think Spartan forgets that the seller may have sold many items to a lot of customers and it might take the seller a few days to get everything out.

.... If a seller delivers as they have promised, in the condition they promise, then they deserve positive feedback and the buyer should be happy.

Certainly that is the way I operate and frankly if the Seller has a good reason for a change and the item is as described I am still happy. I have had some Sellers ship later than promised and a couple of items that had to be returned but in each case the seller made it right in the end. As long as the Seller communicates and acts reasonably I am content. I do tend to buy only from the high 90% sellers but I will read the negative comments and decide for myself if I think they were justified. It does seem that the Ebay fees are now making that vehicle prohibitive for all but volume sellers.

Absolutely in tune with you Bill.

I think you have to understand that the seller dictates the terms...

if he says it take "x" amount of days to ship it...then those are his terms...

if he expects payment in 7 days and can only ship in 10 days...then those are his terms...

if you accept his terms and purchase from him...and if he adheres to his terms...he has fulfilled his agreement perfectly...

You said..."When they just do, what was said in the auction. Then at the best a neutral feedback, should be given. a positive feedback is reserved to sellers that impresses, by going an extra mile. Not Ones that Just do what they said."

you said he gets a negative or neutral feedback from you unless he goes the extra mile...what does he have to do to get a positive feedback from you other than meet his promised terms...

what is your Ebay name anyway...just curious...:D

I agree...well put

I will let you Know in a week;), But I have 180 positive feedbacks (with a 100 percent, rating). And have given 180 out of at least 200 deals. I am curios also when is a neutral feedback to selers, be given forum members.

Spartan,
we all have our opinions, but I think you are being a tad unreasonable and generalizing to all sellers on ebay. Sounds like you didn't particularly have a great experience, maybe its not for you? I will try to be very honest and respectful at the same time, if I had a customer like you, I would not be very happy if your opionions were portrayed this way. You are coming across as confrontational before there is a need to be, do you feel this way about dealers?

As for shipping/packaging, newspaper is quite fine, it protects sometimes better than bubble and peanuts depending on how the item is packed.

Again, as others said, life is too short, don't cause yourself the unnecessary agitation. If a seller delivers as they have promised, in the condition they promise, then they deserve positive feedback and the buyer should be happy.

If I order something from Sierra Toy Soldier, It gets shipped The same day if I do it before 10:30 am. Or The very next day.
as far as confrontational, I am trying not to be. But there are expectations in life. If a seller has a certain time limit, That he wants. should I not expect the same amount of time from him. As I stated in the earlier thread , I have over 180 positive feedbacks, Which means all of those sellers managed, to get it to me within the alloted time they give(againif They want to be payed X amount of days, Then they should ship in at the same time they ask for). As a Buyer I reserve the right to hold feedback. I will buy something, and feedback would be held If they do not ship in those X amount of days.

Again, I was not giving any feedback. Until the sellers got "pushy" and still did not give a any feedback, negative or other wise. but stopped dealing in ebay.

Any buyer can get100 % feedback when seller can only leave good feedback ;):p
What would be more interesting is the feedback you left for sellers

Again, this are sellers that have gone and beyond. what they have said in their auctions. In example Will ship within 3 days. I checked the post mark got shipped Within 3 days, Great care in their packing ." SCORE "POSITIVE FEEDBACK. SO these 180 Feedbacks, that gave me these. I also gave them a positive feedback. Except for two. One was an auction that I won. That the seller accidentally put twice. When, he only had one item. A Negative feedback was given.. The second is A 71st Napoleon era soldier that a bayonet was broken, AND NO PIECE in the Box. SOld as new seller says"
So those 180 feedacks, 178 shipped it within 3 days, packed it with great care. all had Positive feedback was given by me.

I have to ask this Once more, What warrants a Neutral feedback??

When they just do, what was said in the auction. Then at the best a neutral feedback, should be given. a positive feedback is reserved to sellers that impresses, by going an extra mile. Not Ones that Just do what they said.

Wow. I hope I don't wind up on your bad side simply because I did what I said I'd do in my auction listing. Sheesh.

What's wrong with just giving a positive comment for somebody who provides you with a quality transaction? Why does somebody have to "impress" you. What constitutes being impressed.

You know, you remind me of the guy who gave me neutral comment simply because the box I used to ship an item was "too big". A Canadian buyer who purchased priority shipping which required a larger box to accommodate the customs envelope and forms.

The item was perfectly packed and a great piece as he acknowledged via email but I just didn't "impress" him I suppose.

Why don't you just lighten up and be a bit less analytical about the hobby you are satisfying by buying these things and make somebody elses day a little nicer by seeing that a buyer was happy with the service and product shipped?

By the way, what's your eBay id?

I have never given a neutral feedback. I personally feel that you are either happy or you are not.

please......................................

what is the "extra mile" that you need to be impressed with before you can give a positive rating?

Spartan,
my last comment here and I really am being honest, not offensive, argumentative or confrontational, but I am sorry, IMO, your logic and attitude is not reasonable. As others have stated, you are happy or you are not, if you are looking for that extra mile, its like a free lunch, "they are rare and appreciated when they happen, but are by no means a requirement or an expectation".
