Hi Guys,

Gordon was looking over his photo files of some of his amazing dios from previous years...

This one brought back many happy memories. Hope you like it too!

Best wishes and happy collecting,
Andy

Fantastic scene, certainly iconic to our hobby. Robin.

Thanks Guys, good to know you like this one...The background story on this particular display is kind of interesting...I will be happy to share it with you over the weekend.
All the best,
Andy.

Andy, thanks for the post. This is truly an amazing diorama. Maybe this can be something new we can see more often. Many of us are seeing this for the first time.

Superb ! Definitely a diorama to be proud of. :salute::

Love this old dio Andy. Congrats to you and Gordon on a job well done.

Reminds me of that superb Burt Lancaster film "The Train"!

My thoughts exactly, one of those classic WW2 movies that is still a great watch after all these years.

I remember seeing this wonderful display for the first time many moons ago and thinking Wow that's amazing!

Still a joy to view and definitely one of my favourites.:salute::

No matter what era or series you collect, there is always something that can be gleaned from each and every one of Gordon's dioramas ... or should I say museum quality works of art.

From the ground work ... to the positioning of the figures ... to the 3D effects using height and depth ... or to the small details Gordon includes, he gets it perfect.

I have learned a lot for simply viewing (or studying) each one of his works. Thank you Andy and K&C!

Always look forward to seeing the next one.. but the Tarawa and Pacific works are still near the top for me.{sm3}

On behalf of Gordon...a big THANKS to ALL of you guys for your appreciation of his work. Your words mean a lot to him and me.
All the best,
Andy.

I remember seeing that diorama in the flesh at a West Coaster many moons ago!!!!! Loved talking to Gordon on the process of building it and his humble replies that anyone can do it!!! Love that guy!!!!

Cool stuff. Gordon is a great builder. And he is right , anyone can do it. Just takes time and patience and oh a wee bit o' cash.
:salute::

This is the best I could come up with. Robin.
