I thought that we can use this thread as a home for Trophy Raj & Indian Army range.

Any Raj pictures or catalog lists are welcome :)

Please find enclosed the pictures of some sets from this range, I have acquired recently.

Sets PW12a-PW12c;

Please notice the difference between 12c (a sable is attached to a camel) and 12d (a sable is attached to a a figure).

These are sets PW13-PW15 (an officer, a bugler, and a lancer)

Please notice that an officer figure came with a correct leopard skin saddle, however a bugler came on a brown horse instead of gray. Buglers in British Army in that time usually used gray horses, so an officer could easily see a bugler in combat to give him an order for a signal.

Excellent thread idea! And I'm sure Martyn has some more input;)

You are a lucky man. Those are wonderful sets.
Thank you for posting.

Lawrence...I am so jealous! This piece is fantastic!

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I would have to agree that it is a fantastic piece. I was very fortunate to find this and its twin (VV-1). I spoke with Mike from Trophy of Texas and he told me an interesting story about this set and that there were two series made. The older sets were stamped with the logo of Rolls Royce on the front grill. Apparently, Rolls did not approve and so the later models were stamped with the Trophy logo. So, if you have one of these, please let us know which one you have. Both of mine are the later version.

Larry,

I hope you have those available during the Symposium. I would really love to see them in person.

Couple of single figures picked up at the last London Show

Cheers

Martyn:)
