Ranger's Jetty/Whaleboat Shelf Diorama... (1 Viewer)

I have always displayed my Ranger's whaleboats since the day they arrived...they are some of my favorite JJD pieces...I would never sell these...like Snow Shoes...it's just one of those series that I won't let go...for years my whaleboats have just sat there on my shelf with a couple of trees...nothing spectacular at all...still they looked good...but I always felt like they deserved more...so...I finally made a small diorama (with water) to house the jetty, the Rangers and the whaleboat...when the whaleboats oars are extended...it's a pretty big piece...so I really had to squeeze in a small (26x11) diorama to handle it...anyway...I found a nice backdrop picture and finally got something on the shelf that looks decent...here's some pics...

here's a few more pics...I would eventually like to do the other two shelves in my office like the Ranger's diorama...with a nice backdrop to showcase them...the top one is my Snow Shoe's collection and the bottom is my Sudan War collection...

You say it looks decent, but I would say that is a great diorama! It shows off your John Jenkins FIW sets in an a very suitable 'enviornment'.

Mike That backdrop for the whale boat really sets off the show case display............colors just pop. and the eye catches it real well when the full show case photo is viewed. Highly suspect does same when it is viewed in person as well. Keep up the fine work, especially the photography of your collection
