Sterling in my book is a complete and utter idiot/moron, on the other hand R. Rice has been one of the biggest supporters in the NFL on kids who deal with school bullying, and does tons of great charity work for the community in Baltimore, that being said, I have never seen the video of him hitting his wife, just heard all of the comments, if it's true he should be suspended and learn from this action that you don't hit women period!!! I hope when all this settles he has learned a hard lesson, one he should NEVER forget, and hopefully to add to alot of his other good deeds he does for the greater community maybe work with the battered womens shelter...Sammy

WOW just read the whole thread and all this over a racist comment said in private.
One thing i don't understand is its ok to have a all black school but you can't have a all white school that's racist...................^&confuse
and like what was said i didn't read about any players protesting and not taking their pay packets off him {eek3} and all this over 1 of the most boring games on the planet.......................^&grin

What was said was bad ... really bad ... but I would shudder to think of the ramifications if the worst things I have uttered in the course of my life became public.

I have argued with people at work over the use of email by employers to inform staff that they have been unsuccessful in a promotion application. I like the idea of getting an email like that at home out of work hours. I can rant and rage at home to my wife, threaten to rain down the fires of hell on the person who made the decision, contemplate resignation, and a whole range of other revenge fantasies. Others want the face to face experience.

I then can go to work the next day, smile, congratulate the person who was successful, and convince my friends that I did not really want the job anyway. In short, I can show the world the best version of myself. Or at the very least, hide the worst version of me ... for a little longer.

This guy is a probably a pig - and a rich pig which always makes it easier to call for his head. My friend Larso, in a moment of rare insight, argued that the real beauty of free speech is that idiots can be more easily identified. I see no reason to argue with that view.

Donald Sterling.................. I myself find it interesting that he was recorded making derogatory comments about as he said "Black People", but his girlfriend is half black.
Seems to me a conflict of sorts. He owns a professional Basketball team which is made up of mostly "Black People" yet shows resentment toward them in "Private"
I think that little twit of a girlfriend needs to be taught a lesson as well, using an old man like that for his money and turning the tables when she found it convenient
to do so. I am sure if he was an employee at the local Walmart or Target store she would have "Nothing" to do with him. She is just as bad as he is for her own morals
and actions. She received around $1,000.000.00 in gifts and cash for her services of being his "Girlfriend" No wonder his 80 year old wife is pissed.
My end note here is if he sells his team because of a tape recording, then I hope that little girl friend of his gets what she deserves too !

To those who have not made a racist comment in private, let him cast the first stone. People can make racist comments and not be a racist. However, as Combat had said, Sterling has done racist things before and must be a real racist. I recall watching the news and the recording said something like, you can sleep with your black friends, but don't bring them to the games. Maybe Sterling's manhood/pride was hurt, not so much about her bringing black friends to the games, but black lovers to the games.

The NAACP held a press's conference an hour after spud head gave his ruling. They have FORGIVEN him. Why ? So he continues to write them three million dollar checks. I haven't seen any of his players giving back their salaries either. The politically correct nonsense is out of control, and only getting worse. I'm sure Sharpton and Jackson are finding ways to make money from this.
