Andy,
I forgot to ask about this when we were in NYC, but for the history buffs on the forum, what is the story behind the very limited All Metal Chinese Gate you released last year?

Thanks

Tom

Not meaning to step in for Andy and he can correct me of course if iam wrong.

It was a test peice by a new factory the guys in King & Country were looking at. They saw some samples at a fair in HK and tried them out for potenial works.

Thats as i understand it. Its a great piece!

regards

Dealers were sent a few each (perhaps 2) and they sold out almost immediately. I know several people on the forum were able to get them but may have already sold them on eBay last year. It was a stunning piece and would enhance any China display such as the gorgeous Chinese Sand Pebbles type city that Mike is building.

Thanks guys, I have the piece it is stunning and Tony, your reference to the test factory rings a bell!

Thanks
Tom

Here is a picture of it. I don't collect this line, but was very interested when I found out it was done in sheet metal.

It will be great with the new "Sand Pebbles" theme.

I for one would like to see something very similar made in the polystone medium that is used for the regular building releases.
