Joe,

Great idea!:cool: When I was a kid the Guns of Naverone movie and playset were both my favorites. I could imagine all of the characters, Gregory Peck as Long Range Desert Group Major Mallory, Anthony Quinn as Greek Armor Lt. Colonel Andrea Stavros (detached), David Niven as Corporal Dusty Miller, each done the Figarti way!! and the mountaintop fortress, the cave with the guns, Miller's booby traps and the bomb on the lift track. I would have to have one, even if it meant selling something else for the first time . . .

Hi Louis! They were both my favorites as well!! :D Well, there are now two of us who would buy the set, even if it meant selling other precious soldiers and/or vehicles to do so ;). I cannot think of a bigger compliment to toy soldier manufacturer than I'd sell some my collection to buy your new product! Could you imagine how incredible the mountaintop fortress would be if it was done by Figarti? Of course, it would have to be open on the back side, just like the original set, for full playability. And the character figures, that's a fantastic idea!! I can see those giant guns now, projecting out of cavernous mountain side on the concrete-walled ledges. And more path ways on the external mountain could be designed in by Figarti for better playability and more options fro troop placement. Maybe even some secret soorways and whatnot. The seperate foundation for each internal floor could be made as slide-in plates, much like the original. I'm starting to think this could really be done, and done right. Thank you for your input Louis and for having the same passion for the suggested project! :)

This truck will be a great add-on to my V2 collection

Kurt/Carlos-
Thanks so much for the pictures. It looks great. I assume the three figures come with the truck? Interesting that there is no base for one of the figures.

Another Great set of pics from CNN (Carlos New News). This is a must have for me, if I'm not mistaken this is basically a standard fuel truck which could be used in convoy, airfield and other Diorama situations.

I just hope that it is not like the command vehicle.

Would love to close that door!

The cab doors are shut closed. The rear doors/gasoline pump access can be opened or closed. Comes with 3 figures.

Steven wrote ..."Figarti will be producing the Storch. The production planes that were to be shown at the Meeting had not arrived at the hotel at the time of the meeting. At the Chicago Show, Figarti mentioned a price of $350 to $400 but given the global economic problems, spent the next few months trying to lower the production costs. As a result, the Rommel Storch with a single pilot figure (which Beaufighter will attest is a great figure) will be $289."

I have about 4 of these arriving at Hobby Bunker this week. The were intended to be sold at the West Coaster but did not make it in time. If anyone is interested email me at matt@hobbybunker.com

Thanks, matt
