Ever have one of those days??? I checked here this AM to see what people thought of last night's show and was surprised to find nothing. I then checked out on demand to get a look at it and guess what, it wasn't offered.
Go figure.:eek: Sometimes it sucks to be retired and lose track of time. Sometimes, but not that often;)

Boy, I really hate it when this happens:eek:

Ellie--Uncle Teddy's wife--this year's victim and next year's ghost? Another thing for Tommy to feel guilty about since he got them all hitting the bottle again.

Kelly like Tommy lost a child--that was the big secret in the suitcase? With only 1 episode left and Maura Tierney not likely to be in it next season due to her commitment to doing Ron Howard's Parenthood TV series in January I don't see this going anywhere.

Candy turning out to be a crook after all. Lou cheated again.

Can't we do better than this?

Final episode, what did you think?
Other than the last 10 minutes, it stunk!
Is Denis Leary on some kind of ego trip?
I never had nor do I know of anybody that had 3 beautifull women fighting over them.
I have all the previous years on dvd, I doubt if I,ll get this years.

Have to agree, Gary. This season ended just in time. I couldn't take any more of this female soap-opera theme. Leary needs to rethink this series and put the emphasis back in the firehouse, where the show is at it's best. I kept hoping that a passing truck would put an end to the cat fight in the street, thus ending all the problems. I will watch next season to see if they get the show back on track, otherwise it will be AMF. -- Al

My son and I thought "now that's a cliff hanger!". Interesting way to end a season.

I agree that they needed to spend more time at the firehouse and fighting fires, the season started strong that way but ended weak in that area.

The Sheila-Janet cat fight was funny. An object lesson in why a man shouldn't step in between two fighting women. After seeing all the stuff Sheila pulled on Tommy I can't say I felt any sympathy for her come uppance (sp?). From the look on Damian's face I don't think this will be forgotten.

I thought Lou's revenge on his new wife was sweet, but I'll bet we see her again. She left with a major threat on her lips.

Goofy show, but it beats ANY ofthe "reality" shows and a lot of regular network stuff.

The fire is out: Rescue Me done in 2011
Posted Aug 29th 2009 1:02PM by Jonathan Toomey

The boys of 62 Truck are finally calling it quits. According to TVGuide.com, Tommy, Lou, Franco and the rest of the Rescue Me crew have fought their last fire, polished the rig one final time, and will hang up their boots for good in 2011.
As you may recall, FX announced that they were renewing Rescue Me for an 18 episode sixth season - almost three months before season five even premiered. Instead, FX has added one episode to that order, and much as they're doing with Nip/Tuck's final 19, Rescue Me will be split into two seasons set to air in 2010 and 2011.
That'll put Rescue Me's final ep count at 93 (making it more than suitable to sell into off network syndication), but more importantly, it creates one helluva promotional opportunity: the final season (and series finale) will now coincide with the tenth anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks, the creative impetus for the show.
According to co-creator Peter Tolan, the show resumes production next month, meaning that, again, like Nip/Tuck, the final episodes of the show will likely wrap well ahead of when they'll air.
Tolan went on to say that they have Maura Tierney contracted for four more episodes, so she'll likely be back during the final 19 as long as her health concerns or prior commitments to Parenthood don't get in the way. That's good news for Kelly fans.
Speaking of Kelly, the season five finale (which airs this Tuesday at 10PM ET on FX), features her heavily (I've already seen the ep - it's fantastic) and ends with what's arguably Rescue Me's best cliffhanger to date. This season in general has been seen as a creative resurgence of the show and while I'll be sad to see it go, it does feel as though season five was a bit of a peak. At this point, it makes sense to start wrapping up those big overarching plots, such as Tommy's guilt over Jimmy.

That was a weird ending, not really what I expected. In fact I really didn't like the ending. I like Teddys character and I really don't think this was the right way to go. Oh well we will see what happens next year.
