Tom:

I think the grim reaper appears in every war and depending on the size of the conflict his 'scale' is probably different in each one.

Fair enough Jason, but the scale issue could open up a new can of worms! {eek3}{sm2}{sm4}

Nice setup mate like the GRIM reaper very much,when is Holloween ??

Think it's tomorrow night. Catching up more and more in Australia. Robin.

It is on October 31st in the USA, which ( Would you believe) is my birthday....No wonder I am such a Toy Soldier mischief maker. :wink2:

I will be at the Hackensack NJ show on Sunday with dioramas, AFV and structure modifications, stop by if you plan to attend.

Also the "Scale" issue is being calmly discussed on the Battleground Art forum with tons of info for modelers and collectors. It is "Scary" so proceed with caution.

Best
Alex

First off, Happy Birthday!

Second Tom and I were just having a little fun based on the inevitable historical accuracy debate which is only matched by the scale debate on the forum. Scary stuff indeed!

Bottom line this is as creative a dio as I have ever seen, it is a great mix of fantasy and reality.

Thanks !

The fantasy part of the scene was inspired by one of our members of The International Society of Battleground Artists, Harry Anderson ( You can see his bio on the website) . I have been captured by the work he has posted since he has become a member.

When you think of it, war is a somber topic, lightening it up on occasion, I think, is a good idea.

I must say the photos and topic are just great. The two dios are wonderful. Thanks to everyone for this topic at this time of the year. "Mr Colt 45" {bravo}} {bravo}}

Yeah Robin, it's the same over here. Seems to be growing in popularity each year, with the little darlings (and a few big ones) invading the streets looking for treats.

I thought everyone knew about Halloween....

It is quite a unique holiday.......

For some reason my wife and I want to get into it this year........I have a separate sunroom in my back yard, which is sort of in the woods. I have one of those heaters that looks like a fireplace and I have an outside fire pit and tiki torches. I am lighting everything up to create a spooky atmosphere and we are going to watch old spooky moves like Night of the Living Dead and The Thing ( The original from the 50's. )

We found this excellent pizza called Grandmas Pizza, which has a garlic and stewed tomato sauce with fresh mozzarella chese and some ( A lot of wine ) ....
Hey I am retired, surviving 33 years as a city firefighter and I am going to be 61 tomorrow, so I will do what I want and I don't have to answer to anyone.........it is so Excellent :wink2:{eek3}:)
