Hard to believe Ripley is 85.

An amazing selection of movies. For me top two are Gladiator and Blackhawk Down.

Unfortunately I have to wait 10 days to watch Napoleon due to going with family,

Re the Blackhawk Down scene, my son was a vehicle top gunner in Afghanistan where his platoon was ambushed while escorting a convoy.

Re the Blackhawk Down scene, my son was a vehicle top gunner in Afghanistan where his platoon was ambushed while escorting a convoy.

There are so many great scenes in BHD, however this one stands out for me. Being a top gunner takes balls of steal in my book.

Hope your son survived his role in tact and enjoying life as he should be........

Total agree John mate. I did try to post a couple of clips from the Duelists however old You-Tube wouldn't play ball. {sm2}

Thanks, two out of four vehicles were hit with RPGs and a third disabled by small arms fire. No one killed and the injured recovered. Another platoon arrived to drive off the enemy. Son doing fine, got married last yr.

I bet you and the family were relieved to see him get home in one piece. That's super cool he got married too. I stumbled across a lovely clip a while back that I will try and share here if I can locate it.......
