I was looking at this piece and realised that the amount of overcast shadows had to be reduced. So I stuck silvered paper behind the frame to reflect the lights and it looks so much brighter and better.
I took off the cover to clean the glass and thought about adding more highlights and shadows. Decided to do so and also tinted the overhead lighting.
What I see s a significant difference in real life. The most obvious is Nap coat and horse, the brown horse in front and the dead soldier in front. Not sure if the camera captured the differences.
