ROAN's Lead Britains Ltd. & Other Figures (6 Viewers)

Due to today's massive Wall Street sell off
forum members with 401Ks or
portfolios may be feeling a bit queasy.

Best advice? Spend some quality time
with your toy soldiers-a great stress reliever.

Or peruse the photos of the price tags on these
boxes of old Britains-it should put things in perspective.

Note:none of the stores where these boxes were purchased-
Blinn's, Bullock's, Meier&Frank-exist today.

Love seeing these - do have a look at "Fancy a Knight Out at Agincourt" post elsewhere in this Forum , if you fancy. I have painted and/or adapted and painted many re-casts of these, as numerous named Knights of old. Johnnybach

Last(no, really, I swear!) of my toy soldiers went up for auction in May 2016:

No wait! Recently won these from an auction:

Look's like I jumped back on the old lead Britains hedonic treadmill(again). Oh well,
could have worse habits, I suppose.

What fun to see these Britains and Elastolin figures - many of which I had or still have but most without their boxes.

Hope your 2016 auction was successful. (Is that a Navajo rug in the picture?)

The auction went okay. Most of what I sold were odds and ends that
I hadn't sold through Ray Haradin's Old Toy Soldier Auction in '09,
as well as some sets I had acquired since then. I have no idea about the rug
or any other things in the photo except what's inside the glass display cases.

Well you had some great sets. I wish I had taken part in that Old Toy Soldier auction. Only got into those auctions lately.
