To complement the release of our two Winter Roman Legions, Legio XIIII G.M.V & Legio XXX Ulpia Victrix, we have now added winter versions of our Scorpio and Onager along with an Optio Siege Weapon commander which can be used with either/both sets. With now some 235 different sets having been made, our Glory of Rome series is one of our largest series. But where will we take it next? Hmm... :)

ROM233 Winter Roman Optio Siege Weapon Commander $84.95
ROM234 Winter Roman Scorpio with 2 Crew Figures $249.95
ROM235 Winter Roman Onager with 2 Crew Figures, Basket, and 2 Stones $339.95
Ships Mid-October

Great figures! I'd like to buy the two ROM235 crew figures alone without the onager. Hopefully they're made available that way.

The figures in these sets look amazing. I can't wait to add them to the ranks.

Just put in my pre-order for the Scorpio, 3x Dacians and 2x of the Legio XXX Ulpia Victrix; diorama scene will be an assault on a Scorpio nest circa AD104 in Dacia (modern day Romania).

Interesting that it looks like the new version of the Scorpio does not have the arrow track extending beyond the bow housing like the original (retired) ROM126 Scorpio and crew. The scenes from Trajan's Column do show the Scorpios with arrow track extending beyond like the original design.

Images below for reference.

….you just opened up the conversation for Katana to jump in :( :)

One Scorpion is shown in the fired position and one is shown in the cocked; ready to fire position. Both Scorpions are correct and an excellent model IMO. Note the figures are consistent with the different Scorpion positions; one figure set is cocking and loading. The other figure is aiming the Scorpion ready to fire.
