Thanks for your comment...
spaciba

i did in purpose, i was trying to give an overall dark brown aspect for the entire paint-figure, brown-chocolate skin colour as well as the cloth and keep the metals and the cape on the same colour level.

Cheers

Thank you Chasbo...This roman was sculptured by Adriano Laruccia from Soldiers Ltd. one of the best 54mm sculptor around.

Regards

We are about to die salute you Rod!!!!

Really cool model!!

Hello Chris,

Thanks for the comment. As you noticed I decided to use a different approach on the colours pattern, very chocolate-brown reddish on the overall figure. Many liked others not, also I use no other weapons or accessories on him, no gladius, shield etc.. I my head this Aquilifer is running away from a lost battle somewhere in Dacia...

Cheers

Running away!!! THE EAGLE NEVER RUNS AWAY!! {sm4}{sm4}{sm4}It fights till the end.

The color choice is very appealing and really captures the eye. I could see that figure as part of a vignette with a Legate's tent, in late fall in Dacia- perhaps near a waterfall or small river.

Interesting point...The way I display my Romans 54mm soldiers are ontop of the small piece of wood, I use as base ground, so very easy to create a small dio with other figures.
Thanks for the tip...
