Might help if you stop making and trying to sell 'Grey' snags, try Khaki ones...................^&grin

For a brief moment there I had toyed around with the idea of using the Imperial Chinese fort pieces to do a Roman fort. Looked pretty cool but ultimately just didn't look right enough. Seems no one wants to touch the wooden Roman forts.

Yes, a wooden fort would be good plus maybe some of the much more ephemeral siege works.

Does anyone know what the overall size of the Roman Fort is? A pretty large shelf would be needed I would guess! The Airfix Roman Fort is 1/76 and is 6" wide X 9" long and 4" high. I would expect this fort to be at least twice that size in 1/32.

You could always buy extra sections to make it larger, but won't those Merlons be "A Brick too Short" for you Kat :wink2:

I would use size compatable figures. 1/32 would probably be about right if the K&C figures are 1/30. The Roman figures from Russia are 1/32 and of very good quality and even painted they are quite reasonable. Kronprinz Romans are also very nice and quite reasonable at $28.00 each on sale now! The Kronprinze Roman line is quite extensive.

The new 'The Legate' mounted figure is stunning. Cannot stop looking at it. I will do a display tomorrow and post it on my diorama thread ' Time on my hands at last'. So well done Andy. Thankyou. Robin.

Hi Andy,
Nice work on the Roman Fort, and its use in adaptations.....
Having seen how the Roman walls in 90 degrees/corner walls are key for a nice fully built fort diorama or even at least the better half of one.....what about coming out with Corner Walls and or towers for those of us that collect the Desert Village series??
As previously mentioned those walls and towers aided by the gate wall, straight wall and houses that your have so well manufactured in the Desert Village series, give us collectors an extensive chance to build dioramas from the Crusader, NAPS all they way to WW2...That is a lot to be said and shows how well the series is versitile and could be marketed.....not to mention the number of collectors interested....just by looking at the number of threads on the matter in this forum already provide a clue! Look forward to hearing from you.
Best Regards

I have been suggesting to Andy and company since the original desert walls came out to do corner walls. The desert village pieces are so versatile as you mentioned above and the corner walls would
be very well appreciated.

Great new Range of Romans definitely one I will be collecting. The detail looks excellent.:smile2:
I wonder if any Celts, Gauls or German tribes have been considered to be introduced at a later date to complement the Imperial Romans of the 1st or early 2nd Century AD Romans which we have here?

As previously announced JJD are going to support the series with K&C, by producing the enemies of Rome, so this mutual deal should mean we will not seeing K&C doing anything other than the Rome aspect. Let's hope John can keep up with Andy's releases. Robin.
