Rome 43 a.d. New releases! (1 Viewer)

Nice work Brian! Love all the implied movement and energy. The barbarians look terrific! The news of a forthcoming barbarian chariot is fantastic as well! Could it possibly be the chariot commanded by Boudicca herself?

And thank you for keeping the price steady while at the same time offering such quality and innovation.

I'm in.

WOW!The Legions are marching to conquests.I'm glad I don't collect this period or I would go nuts (and bankrupt{eek3})trying to get them all.Congrats Roman collectors.

C'mon brother, you know you want back into the game!! ^&grin No way you are going to let these guys escape your clutches!!

they look great, as always expected from CS....glad to see something other than WW2 Germans, too..great stuff Brian, congrats on another winning line

Price is great, good job CS...

Sure, we're pledging to maintain pricing at the $32 per figure level for the immediate future on all releases.

We know its a tough economy and we really are commited to ensuring reasonable pricing for the good of the hobby. Currently we are absorbing price increases and can do so for some time if need be.

Cheers!

Brian

Well, we go from virtually nothing related to ROME to everyone seemingly popping out of the woodwork with Romans.

......
THIS REALLY REALLY PUTS ME IN A DILLEMMA!! TCS scalewise will work better with my KC and Conte figures but artistry will probably (perhaps) be better with FL.

.....{sm4}{sm4}
I agree with you on the style Chris but my old Conte Romans, which Mike says are only a touch larger than the new ones, are the same size as my FL Napoleonic figures, which are the same size as other FL lines. I'll try and post some photos later.

I think this range will be very popular, the only thing that will go against it as with other CS ranges will be the limited number of each release.

Mitch

If you collected the K&C Romans from 2001 they should go well with this new CS release.

Hi Mitch,

I'm confused by your comment. Do you mean the limited size of the release? (only 7 Romans and 4 Celts) The limited number of each release (400 or whatever) is a good thing isn't it?

That might be just the initial release of Romans - there could be more.

Depending on how well they go together for size, I will probably get a few favouites from each of the 3 companies.

I have been looking at these two guys on the left but I really feel the bases detract from the quality of the figures . Can anyone tell me if the are easily parted ? are the figures moulded to the bases or glued ? I will be getting them regardless and don't really care about size , I like the poses :wink2: . Congratulations to CS on a very fine release .. Regards Gebhard

dead simple. A little bit of gentle manipulation will take any manufacturers figures off the bases. The figures all have small moulded pegs (its what I call them) and means that other bases can be moulde for them which, suits the collectors taste requirements. Ten minute job

Are you speaking from experience ? Have you ever done this with Collector's Showcase figures in the past ?

I personally have not bought any TCS toy soldiers ...but I have been waiting for any new Ancients series....I think this is the one for me!!! please keep them coming ...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!^&grin

it is so nice to see these extreme high quality figures without the inflated price of some other manufacturers...I am really anxious to get these...I was hoping the prototypes would be at the San Antonio show...but...no...not so lucky...
