I just received the new set of the Royal Marine Light Infantry figures and the new set of Bejas charging...and never one to be shy with the camera...

I set up a small display to take some pictures...^&grin....

the new Bejas have 2 spears each...which I think is really cool...John has built the Beja contingent up to 11 figures now...including the wounded camel figure...so it's starting to make a really nice grouping...I hope he keeps adding to them and also the Royal Marines...

he also had mentioned a large grouping of Mahdist might be in the works...which I really like as they are much more colorful...

Mike

Your new building looks great and is a perfect complement to John's figures.

Ever think of getting into WWI and building some awesome trenches?:wink2:

thanks Randy...

my problem is that I'm a compulsive completist...

and the theater of battle is so large for WWI...I'm afraid it would break me......^&grin.....

but the trenches sound like a fun build...

Great pick up for your collection Michael . . . . nicely photographed and displayed . . .
:smile2: Mike

.........more great pictures for me to enjoy this evening, many thanks Michael :salute::

Always nice to see a series set up that I also collect, saves me the effort, getting lazy in my old age. Well done as usual Mike, cheers, Robin.

I have been taking notes of all your superior dio lately. I think I see your secret. :rolleyes2:

* Develop a simple but definite story in your head
* Select finely crafted figures from your JJD collection to match your vision
* Add masterfully built diorama structures
* Expertly arrange the sets in a focused but interesting set of actions
* Sprinkle in or place diorama ground material to enhance the scene and add realism
* Use professional photography skills to get pictures
* Post to TreeFrog

Gee, So simple! ...... Ya’ righ!:wink2:
Another home rum, Mike --- Larry

thank you guys for the nice comments...

Larry...you have just written a great formula for creating a unique diorama...I wish I could do all those things in your outline...I really enjoy building the structures...they are easy and fun...anybody can do them...sometimes...some turn out better than others...some never make it off the cutting room floor...I have wooden buildings...pyramids and dioramas that I'm just not proud enough of them to share...but you get better the more you do...I would like to improve on my photography skills...as there are so many fine photogrphers on this forum...this is a well suited hobby for me...as constructing structures and dioramas is so much fun for me...

As always Michael very nicely done and hope John will provide us with a Naval Brigade Officer one to releave your Highlander in commanding your Marines and providing me with one to commad mine............PapaZ

Great Marine"s and Fuzzy-Wuzzy"s Mke!!....And they go really well with your Desert building....Wonder how those Tribesmen ever found the time to fight??...they look as if they spend all day getting thier hair styled!!!.

Steve

Where did you get the dead camel? Nice touch!!! As funds permit, building my JJD Sudan collection......just beautiful sculpting and expressions.
