Russian manufacturers (2 Viewers)

I have been exploring the availability of Russian made figures related to Samurai on the web
there is a plethora of manufacturers who on Ebay or elsewhere advertise figures for sale
Aeroart and Kolobob are well established but are there any other guidelines on dealers like "Elite" whose pictures of figures look good and who claim "top quality" painting.
I hope some more experienced collectors of these figures could provide some information on the forum?
hope some of you who post on this subject will help provide some clarity

I have had good luck with :

Aleksey of Silver Dream Studios (SB Souvenirs)

Scheckbov (Denis) from ebay

Just an opinion, but they have been fairly consistent. Most of their stuff is not sculpted by them, they use Art Girona, Pegaso, Andrea and actually will paint just about anything you send them. I know they have raised their prices slightly over the last year due to the strong dollar, but they do decent work.

Aleksey is great to work with. They do a good job and fairly reasonable pricing. Another perk is both he and Boris (kolobob) speak very good english - making it much easier.
 
I recently had Sineus paint a mounted figure for me and thought they did a great job. Their English is also very good and easy to deal with.
 
Agree Boris and Aleksey are very easy to deal with. My only grip is Aleksey had a slight increase in pricing due to stronger US Dollar!! Still very reasonable for the quality you are getting. He is very straightforward on the quality description as well as even telling me one figure I wanted to NOT paint in elite quality b/c in his opinion, the painting would not enhance the sculpt and I was "wasting" funds! So, all in all a great experience.

As to Denis - he is a different style, but I like it and have found some very nice figures from him too.

Boris - goes without saying, always a first class experience without issue.

Sineus - agreed too they are quite good also.

I would suggest trying Nevskaya Miniatura. This is Tatiana Gapchenko's company. She is an absolute pleasure to work with and has a team of the finest artists. The only other studio on her level is Russian Vityaz. She paints to level 9 or 10 only. So if you want elite there you go. I've studied many of the sellers on ebay who claim to sell elite figures, but they are rarely if ever elite. Elite equates to level 9 or 10. Kolobob is the one seller on ebay who sells truly elite figures, all of which are painted either by Nevskaya or Vityaz artists. And w/ kolobob you will receive the actual figure in his photos unless he specifies otherwise which is very rare.

Joe, I've gotten stuff from Tatiana as well. Magnificent work. Will she paint other company's castings? I've only ever bought hers

You will need to email and let them know what figures you're interested in. They will provide price and lead-time. Everything is painted to order. If you have more questions I'd be glad to assist.

Hello Gentlemen!

I have now started my holiday.
Since my work means a lot of travel, I am now more than happy to be home.

I will post, and send pictures of my figures.

Bought today a spectacular Diorama.

But I must say, that all my life been a Musketeer, " One for all, all for one"

I would really liked to buy the one you showed here.

The price, however was too high, and I guess my children would have put me in a oldery home, and have me put up for insane.
