See I told you he'd never be up there long enough for us to see the floor show ! (3 Viewers)

Everything in this scene lends towards realism Steve, right down to the colouring. Brilliant. Robin.

Beautiful! Love the scene you have set. Thanks for sharing your work.

Cheers Robin :salute::
The Gold Lame bikini bottoms for the Egyptian exotic dancers don't show up too well in the photo Robin mate ! I've heard of Leather ones used by the Romans. Best ask Andy for the authenticity there :wink2::tongue:

Thanks guys.

The buildings certainly do Chris and Paul does an great job printing them.

Being plastic they are a fair bit lighter than the ones produced in Polystone, but pretty solid enough just the same.

Of course with the exchange rates being what they are in the UK at present against the Dollar, it makes it expensive for UK collectors buying from abroad, but conversely cheaper for those in US to buy from from UK for instance.
Shipping certainly has become far more expensive wherever you are and is putting manufacturers off making scenic accessories.
With 3D prints each building produced is in order to fill an individual request and not having stock from a production run hanging about certainly cuts costs.

These Roman buildings are so impressive. I need to invest in something like these. If you could post some pics of them it would be awesome

Thanks Jason.
I've used these buildings facades in many of my Roman civilians dioramas, with me only having the Taberna / Popina complete building.
To see the complete buildings, look at the 3D designers range, if you see something uou like, ask Pail Bell to do s 3D print for you.
If you have just the facades, they don't take up so much space and will be cheaper as well of course.
You can ask Paul yo paint them for you, of which he dies a very good job or if you feel confident, do it yourself, which again would be cheaper.
The buildings seen in my little diorama are here :

Since I've had my knes printed, another 3D designer has come out with designs, which look great as well, and if I extend, I would probably consider these:

Which you could just have facades of, also with them being modules you could have just parts.
What I especially like is the road sections being available too.
The designer also does, a Marching camp, Gladiator Amphitheatre and lots of other interesting things. Once again uou could ask Paul Bell to print and paint.

Hope this helps Jason.

Awesome mate, really appreciate yoir time and effort here. Been looking at Pauls stuff but couldnt see the Roman stuff. Gonna go for 2 or 3 Roman buildings. Gonna do tye fullsize buildings as i am going to have a decent sixed display table in my new hobby room.

You're welcome Jas.
Hopefully you'll share some photos of these at some stage, as I know it's not like buying something off the shelf, with choosing what you want, and working with Paul, on and tweaks to the design or size, such heights of handrails on balconies, and then the waiting, which generally is only a short time unless he's had several orders all come in at once, and of course for you guys outside the UK, the international delivery.
But always worth the wait.

Yeh last time Paul told me he had a que but it still only took a week or two plus delivery time. I cant wait to start work on these. Did Paul do modifications on your butcher shop? Did you add columns to it?

On this particular diorama, I used Dark Realms, Aeterna building 6. Which has columns supporting the upper story, which came as separate parts and I glued them into place, bit like an Airfix kit, which Paul printed for me.

I think i am getting building 3,4,5 and 6 and a Roman shop from Pauls catalogue.
May as well build my town. Rome wasnt built overnight but i can assemble it on a smaller scale a bit quicker.
Paul has so many amazing buildings

I meant building 7, building, 6 being three story.

I didn't bother using the awning on #3 as I found it distracting from the look of the building and would of made placing figures inside awkward as I display it as a Taberna / Popina.

The counter for the popina, came from the scatter accessories and in some of my dioramas, I have used the roadside shrine. Be aware the top one with stone surround is very large and difficult to fit into a display due to its size.

Not yet released, but the other design with the Insulae, has a decent looking street fountain.

Good save, changed 6 to 7. I am focussing on a set up like Briton or some other small Roman garrison town so a 3 storey would be too big for my plans.
Yes that insulae looks good.
Where did you get you roads / paving?
I have a paved road matt but will need more

👍🏻
I emailed Paul, a one of two road 3D print designs I had found and asked him if he could do that, and he came up with what I now have.
