Excellent Scorpion, historically accurate. The Torsion Springs are similar to those excavated at Ampurias, Spain. A drawing is on page 67 of The Roman Army by Peter Connolly, available on Amazon. The loader figure with the bolt is very nice.

Just curious, who did the Romans fight in what is now Spain (the excavation site mentioned in your post)?

Agree......but that could be said of JJ as well.

Bit unfair on JJD that. They've only just started with Ancients and they have done over a dozen or so Gauls in two paint schemes for those wanting extras that have already been released. They have a similar amounts of bands of Iceni and Germanic warriors coming out too, as well as the start of a Roman Fortification and as previewed this weekend at the Chicago show preproduction models of a Roman Pontoon Bridge and a two Galleys.

At this point TG will probably make figures of the drunken Britsh tourists before they make a decent amount of Roman enemies.

Romans are being thinned down in terms of production as we speak, its not the end of the series but Rome's enemies starting to come through now instead. We should see 2 x infantry Brits this next release followed by 2 x Brit cavalry by end of the year. In the new year we have 4 or more Brit infantry planned and for the other enemies of Punic Rome we already have a mounted Hannibal and a new Carthaginian infanteer sculpted and available soon.
Sorry not the same speed as JJD or our Romans but only so much money and resources to allocate and we have other series like the Persians we also need to fill a gap in as has been pointed out here.

Best wishes Gunn Team
