Nice pics you guys! Pierre, you must have a heck of a handful with the daughter unit. You must get tired chasing all of her erstwhile suitors away:D

Hi KV-

Believe it or not, she has the same boyfriend since she's fifteen  No erstwhile suitors :D

Pierre (the proud father :))

A happy story then:) My daughter just moved to Indianna.:)

That's a long way from California.

I always found interesting the fact that you (Americans) are moving far away from the place you were rise.

You can be from CA, live in NY, have a brother in TX, another one in IL, two or three sisters in FL, SC and LA and managed to be in MN for Christmas and in AZ for Thanksgiving.

I understand why you invented Air Miles :D

Pierre.

I live about 40 minutes from where I was born and my girlfriend was born and raised and still lives there. Most people tend to leave home to live here in CA. Those that move and or leave generally were not raised here. I have seen it done though.

All the rest of my family still lives on the peninsula. I live in the SF Bay Area.

Heres a pic of me at work.....

Most of the Sherrif's and town police sport the gotee here Gary. The women aren't yet. All the city and Sheriff's are driving all new Dodge Chargers to. Gotta admit they look pretty good with the big push bar on the front and the low profile LCD lights.

Wellington,

Your cars are way cooler than ours. No fair. :(

Your cars are a lot smaller if I remember correctly and slower. Correct me if I'm wrong. When I was south of Kent and had car trouble and a very nice Officer gave me a ride into Kent. This car was small.

Right on the mark Chuck.
The standard cars are much smaller and lower powered / smaller engined. They get you from A -B, as long as you're not too worried how long it's going to take you. V8 cruisers they are not.....

Actually I drove a Black and White as well 20 years ago with the Ontario Provincial Police (Similar to a Stae Trooper)..the force I work for is a very good force and is top notch when it comes to technolgy....Our cars have since changed again.....the appeareance outside... and get this.... the computer inside is all run off voice now so buttons dont need to be pushed....I can bring up mug shots of suspects in my cruiser....as for the Gotee...I work for a Regional force which is fairly large, I work in the city...very busy....when I start my shift its not uncommon to have 20 or 30 calls outstanding in my zone District alone never mind the rest of the Region (Bank Robberies, Homicides, Domestics, Sexual Asaults, Sudden Deaths etc)...most are very serious...the people I deal with are not all that nice, if you dont look tough, act tough or be tough you will get into trouble...the gotee helps with this....plus my wife likes it...if we keep them trimmed we are able to have them. I'm also a Scenes of Crime Officer for my Platoon so I take pictures, finger prints DNA etc The OPP has about 6000 Officers and the one I work for now has about 2000......both are not as big as NewYork etc but very good Police Forces with very good reputations. Although I love doing traffic there is very little time for it.

Wellington, I hear you on that, being at 7:00 AM roll call, tired because you got up at 5:30 and the lieutenant tells everyone to hurry up and get in service they are holding calls.
I worked in some bad districts but we had to look mean minus a gotee.
I was a young policeman in the 70,s when the style was having long hair, I constantly got in trouble because my hair and mustache was to long.
Only 71 working days until I retire for a second time, this will give me 40 years as a policeman.

I'll revive this thread for the newcomers (and those heading to the London Show).

It's nice to put faces with the names.

I won't be there but the guy on the left will be.
