Good Afternoon

We are hosting our 8th annual King and Country Open House. Attending will be Andy from K&C. This is an all day event starting at 10.00am. In the evening a Soiree will be held.

The event starts at 10.00 and runs the whole day.

Attending will be Andy from King and Country.

We are hoping as with last year, Andy will announce many of his upcoming releases for the first time. Also you will see the Master Edition of the new Sierra Toy Soldier Exclusive Release “WOJTEK & HIS HANDLER”.

During WW2 a Syrian Brown Bear Cub was found in the Middle East by Free Polish soldiers serving with the British Army. He was made a “Corporal” and followed the troops all the way to Italy where, at the Battle of Monte Cassino he even helped transport ammunition!!! After the war “Wojtek” moved to Scotland with the Free Polish Army units who did not want to return to a by-now Communist-led country and was officially “demobilized” in 1947. He spent his final years at Edinburgh Zoo where he was often visited by his former army comrades by now also civilians living and working in Britain.

All are welcome. This is tremendous fun and a great opportunity to chat with Andy.

If you would like to attend our evening event (Soiree). The event will be held in our store after the store closes. So we invite Andy to give a chat on all things K&C, answer any and all of your questions. While the rest of us can munch on an appetizer or two and have a beer or a glass of plonk (wine). Soft drinks will be available.

This is a reservation only evening event as space is limited. Children are most welcome. Please reserve as soon as possible.

Hope to see you there.

Best regards

Really looking forward to seeing the "Wojtek" release! What a great theme for a special edition set!

I will post pictures unless someone beats me to it.

I will also take some pictures of the Sierra window display. It was under construction when I saw it last weekend. It is a D-Day Airborne airfield theme.

Hoping to see the bear figure by now, everyone must be suffering from a hang-over^&grin, Robin.

Thank you to everyone that stopped by and made the event a really great fun day. As usual Andy was in great form and everyone had great chance to chat.

The highlight for us was seeing the Master Painted Version of Wojtek. Everyone was really impressed, seeing it as some of the finest work King and Country have produced. More details will be available tomorrow, and we will be listing it on our web site tomorrow.

Availability we are hoping for December Release, but this may move into January.

Please note the pack of lucky strikes, will not be included, this was a little scenery addition.

Hope you like it as much as we do.

One of the highlights of the Open house is we get to chat about future releases.

The major one we leave to Andy to talk about at Chicago. But for those that were at the event we got a chance to see 2 new set and the start of a new series.

World of Dickens - apparently this is still Myszka's idea according to Andy.

We have new Carol Singers expected for Christmas

Next we move just a little bit to Victorian England and the start of a new series about Victorian England. First up will be the classic Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson, plus we are promised buildings including Baker St.

Hope you enjoy.

Robin:

The Wojtek figure is incredible. The handler figure itself is in my opinion one of the best K&C has ever done.

Best,
Jason

That appears to be a Schleich bear coming around the book, too big for our figures unfortunately. Robin.

Great looking model of Wojtek and his handler! Looking forward to adding this set to the collection!

Andy!

Thank you on Sherlock, I know I have asked about that ever since I met you and good to see it coming! I know its not your favorite story, but I appreciate the fact you are making them!
See you Thursday in Chicago,
Tom
