Ok, guys, she's the most famous fighter plane in history, superb fighting machine and a symbol of a nation's defiance in the face of of racism, hatred and intolerance , not for nothing is she beloved by a nation.

Absolutely fantastic bird! What makes me partial to it ofcourse is the CANADIAN MAPLE LEAF proudly emblazoned on it. Makes it hard to pass up but I've got no space for it and I already have the classic BOB version so I'm good for Spits..........but I'm sorely tempted! ;)

Oh my dearest Rob, if I actually purchased everything I wanted I'd have all of K&C's catalogue and a warehouse to store it all in! {sm4} Trying to be selective is so hard for one like me whose interests are so varied. :redface2:

It really is difficult isn't it. Just this last Saturday I was stood there deciding that the new D Day Brits were top priority and then Andy hits the post button and its the RAF at No1 again!^&grin All part of the fun though isn't, choosing what to get and what to leave.....man I need a lottery win, tell you what CFM, if I win the £25 million this week all my friends will on here will get a fat cheque made payable to K&C , how's that?:wink2:

I see that only 300 are being made. I would urge that those who want one order it soon since this will be a speculator's delight.

Funny isn't it Brad, some weapons of War, Tiger, Spitfires, Shermans, they just never seem to fall out of popularity.

Got my preorder in when I saw this, too good to miss.

Very nice plane and one of the finest sculpts yet on the WWII planes. I will not be getting one as I have so many other areas in my collection. I was doing some research on Johnnie Johnston and it states he had 34 confirmed victories? Is that true.

Is that true.

Well, this will likely be the 15th plane in my hangar. I have wanted a D-Day Spitfire or Mustang. It truly is gorgeous. Plane collecting is addictive and costly.

Rob..

from talking to people today its seems the resounding verdict on your question has the same answer as the following do bears mess in the woods?? LOL

an outstanding aircraft flown by an outstanding man definately one of those ''few'' who burnt Hitlers backside with the first crushing defeat to what until then was histories most lethal war machine.

Ah Mitch,

You are smart guy. Is it 34 confirmed victories for Johnnie Johnston?

Mitch,

That 300 Spits sounds like its getting smaller all the time!:smile2:

Also you make a good point about the B.O.B. Not only did it save Britain and Europe but we sometimes forget it was Hitler's first defeat. I remember someone interviewing a senior German officer (I think it was for the World at War series) and saying would he admit that Stalingrad was the beginning of the end, he said no it was clearly the Battle of Britain.

Its been a superb year so far for collectors of British releases. Don't get me wrong I love collecting my Sherman's, FJ's, Tigers, 88's etc, but the B.O.B and D day just grip me. Have not got a single figure of the D Day releases yet ....and here come the RAF{bravo}}
