what do you think is the single best release from John for 2010...

or just your favorite piece from 2010...

Undoubtedly the Spanish Civil War Panzer I, its the best piece of armor in the hobby to date in my opinion.

Interesting choice by Louis, but not surprising though. I admire the way those tanks look everytime I check out the John Jenkins site. Very cool!

Hands down, no contest, it is the Fokker Triplane and Sopwith Camel. If I have to choose one of those, go with the Fokker. I have always loved that red tripe. Just great models. -- Al

TRI PLANE...totally caught me off guard (I love surprizes) and immediately all kind of vignettes and displays came to mind with it....so without a hesitation I immediately ordered it.

Walt Damon

No Fockers here! :p;):D

For me it's the Sudan Gatling and crew.

I guess his planes are really popular...John told me they were doing really well...and I have heard a lot of comments on how accurate they are...they really are beautiful...but I'm kind of surprised that nobody has mentioned any sets though...

I think my favorite set for 2010 is between RSF-05...RSF-06...RSF-07 or JR-17...

since I asked everyone for their favorite...

I will pick RSF-06...

I think he is a great representation of the FIW's...and looks really cool hiding behind a tree...

For me, just the whole Return to Monongahela series in general  .....which aren't updated on the product list of his website  (I wouldn't have known if I didn't look there to make sure all the RtM figures were from 2010)

Panzer I. A very detailed set for very little money IMO
Mitch

I'm going with the Collector figure of Capt. John Jenkins of the Glengarry Light. Very colorful and dynamic pose. Runner-up is JR-19 - Highlanders charging with muskets. A great action pose.

Highlanders charging with muskets. This will be a great series.
Was glad to get the rest of B.O.M. series. Thankyou John.

For 2010, the Fokker as the best piece, then the Spanish Tank. But I collect neither line.

For a single human figure, RSF-06 - the crouching indian with bow.

Whilst I agree the WWI planes were very good I would have to go with the Gatling gun with crew. This item is one that attracted some collectors who do not even collect the other Sudan sets.

2010 was a good year and will be fun to see what comes out in 2011.

Agree 100%- would have to say the TriPlanes are one of the most interesting things to hit the TS world in the past decade. Big Big Kudos to JJ for taking those guys on- and then to deliver them with such artistry- the guy is a talent that's for sure!!

Well said. WW1 aircraft are no easy subject to model accurately. -- Al

I thought I read a while back that KC was entering the WWI plane market. But haven't heard anything recently. It will interesting to compare if it happens. John has done a fantastic job, but I do think the price is on the outer boundaries. Particularly since they come with no figures. KC did a nice ME-109 recently with pilot for $159. That seems reasonable.

I'm for the Indian sets from RSF, then Sudan Gatling gun, then the WW1 Sop.

Really not much more I can say, since so many on this thread have already said it. Looking forward to this year.

Matthew

JJ sent me an email this morning...
making a comment in it...
that his favorite piece for 2010 was SF-07...
Ensign Langy...
he's a very good figure...
very representative of the FIW's...

I think Snow Shoe's in general was a brain storm...
such a small, obscure, eclectic, little battle...

he said Langy was a personal hero of his and wished his name was Jenkins too...hahaha
