Sloppy Paint Job (1 Viewer)

Re: Slopy Paint Job

Really too bad this could not be handled between the customer and CS. One mishap and everyone wants to
Jump on the beat up CS bandwagon, while a few are willing to give credit where appropriate. So long as the
Customer gets taken care of is where the importance is.

Re: Slopy Paint Job

If thats the case then why did you start a thread on a broken stuka in Figarti. You should have given the company a chance to sort it for you!!! The whiter than white approach does not suit many and, as far as bandwagons go there is none. This is a toy soldier forum where its stated we talk all things toy soldiers. The paint work on the AFV is far more important than the interaction between Brian and one of the customers.

People in glass houses and all that!! which, we are all rather guilty of. The forum is about opinions and thats what is being expressed here some for some against. The private approach does not seem to work for some hence the thread but, thats their choice at the end of the day. I don't think this has turned into a bash CS at all
Mitch

PS. I am curious to know if this is the general way that the weathering was done on the AFV. Anyone else have one that could elaborate on the paintwork?

I guess what I'm getting at is giving the companies a chance to make things right First.

Based in what we know, the customer tried, to no avail, so he felt his only recourse was to post publicly about the situation.

Regarding the second statement, most have jumped to CS' defense, citing prior experience which, though interesting, is not relevant here as the customer feels aggrieved.

I would still urge them to see if they can work it out privately.

Re: Slopy Paint Job

Whitewashed AFV's very rarely have time to rust so, why do manufacturers insist on putting it on.

I wonder about the rust too. Not just here but the entire world of WW2 tank models in general.

Mitch, your opening statement in reply to me is obviously another reason to disagree. So if I contacted Figarti about
One of their 1 of 100 made products they are going to send a replacement. ??? From where. ??
Don't make non substantiated comparisons between 2 companies that are totally different. As you know Mitch
Figarti has no replacements to offer on their most popular aircraft and vehicles.
Historically every opinion that I submit here you disagree with, adding your snide comments along the way.
I am taking the position of standing by the manufactorers and giving them a chance to right any wrongs
Before jumping to conclusions. A company that has no way of replacing damaged products because they sell
All of the 100 that is made need to have a better plan of action than all of the production run is sold out.
I do have a problem with Figarti on this issue. collectors Showcase has the capability to replace any defective
Items, so let the 2 parties settle this amongst themselves.

PA...

I disagree with you that its every opinion!! There are a very small number of people who regularly contribute on this forum so, its the same people really who respond to the same threads who come into contact with each other. There have been many things I have agreed with you about granted not recently but, thats the subjects that come up its a crap game so, to speak. You have also been quick over the time on the forum to respond in a variety of ways from disagreement, snide to others which, we have discussed at length in PM so, you give as good as you get.

You really don't want me to answer where you could have found another stuka from do you?? I am sure you will say its a snide commentLOL. This is a forum for discussion and, the poster wanted opinions and comments from collectors. That was his way of acting so, why should posters not comment. I thought the bash CS was wrong as it was nothing of the sort. Thats the strange mentality that if you say something thats not always positive on here you have to be bashing the company for some hidden reason. To me I disagree with that assumption and, stated it to you using an example of your own actions in relation to figarti.

Now with your expertise on armour do you have any comments on the paint job of that sherman??
Mitch

Now as far as the issue at hand it would have been easier IMO to send a new replacement to the customer
Than for CS to deal with all of this. If I were Brian I would put my foot in somebody's backside for lack of
QC before packing that tank in its box. From Collectors Showcase's customer service track record as a
Bystander on the side lines I am sure everything will be resolved.

Re: Slopy Paint Job

To me the problem with CS. They had problem with broken bits from day one and CS have not addressed the problem , every item I had from them needed superglue that a fact I'm sorry to say and that why I've stopped buying them now

Re: Slopy Paint Job

Just curious? Is this item sold out? If it isn't then wouldn't a replacement be the simplest solution?

Your bias is noted as usual . I am biased too. I think Brian goes a long way to make things right. As noted previously, the original poster asked if there had been any similar experiences. The answer seems to be no. Resoundingly so. I will agree with you on the privately part.

Guys, mistakes happen. Even repeatedly so. I have a similar story with another company in this business. The screw-ups were markedly profound to the point of idiocy. It involved many messages and months of waiting. A year elapsed before all was said and done. The result? A whole new piece, because the piece could not be repaired. I stop here. The point is that not everything goes to plan. They are still toys. High priced ones but, toys. So sayeth the Shepherd.......

Re: Slopy Paint Job

Would not have waited a year thats for sure no matter who the manufacturer was or, what the product was. Not sure these are toys in any sense of the word and definately not marketed as that so, why customers still refer to them as such is strange. Once people get that notion out of their heads then they will see that everyone expects (or should at least!!) high quality and high service. The term ''toys'' denotes a flexibility in the term and some form of cheap throw away kind of product that we don't really care if its wrong or, falls apart etc which, only serves the manufacturers not the customers.

Re: Slopy Paint Job

I would just like to go on the record as saying that the word "sloppy" has two p's in it.

Thank you and have a nice day. {sm4}

Re: Slopy Paint Job

it certainly needed an extra P in the title!! For sure

My point is that quite simply put is that We do not need to get bent out of shape. Speak with your wallet. If someone screws you over remember it and do not do business with them again. This is a hobby. It is supposed to be fun.

Two "p's" indeed. LOL See? Fun!

Again, why not just replace it?

Re: Slopy Paint Job

I would bet CS would do a swap in the future if this happens again ^&confuse
Then.....No more......slopy {sm3}
