Looks like I'm in the jackpot area, up to 36 inches with 60 to 70 MPH winds.
Not good, not good at all, just wonderful.
Went to the super market today, absolutely insane, people were buying food like they were going to be trapped in their houses for a week.
One lady had four cases of water; seriously, you and your family are going to drink 96 bottles of water, morons.
The problem here in Massachusetts is the infamous Blizzard of 1978. It hit during the day and thousands were stranded on our main highway, route 128 that cuts the state in half north to south, numerous people froze to death in their cars. As a kid, we lived up the street from 128 and I'll never forget the view as far as the eye could see north and south of stranded cars on the highway.
Supermarkets were closed for close to a week, everything was shut down, so now whenever the weatherman says snow is coming, people around here go into a full blown panic.
I love the shots from the hardware store too; they sell out of shovels every storm; what do people do, throw them out at the end of every winter, or better yet, after every storm, maybe I should sell shovels as well as soldiers.
George:
This post had me cracking up, I had to close my office door!
On a serious note, best to you and your family.
-Jason

DC dodged both storms, more or less. First one stayed north and dropped a dusting. Second one went south and dropped 2-3 inches. Nothing compared to NE. Stay inside and play with your TS, George. No use getting frostbite, besides the stores are all empty. Be safe. -- AlLooks like the DC area will dodge this one. We have some sloppy weather, light snow, sleet, rain, all coming down but the big snow is moving north of us. Everyone in the path of this please stay warm and safe. Time for a bowl of grits.:smile2: -- Al
