So whats your next K&C purchase guys? (2 Viewers)

If I can pry any money loose from Tiger tanks and aircraft, I would like to add some SOE lancers and whatever else KC adds to that line. -- Al

Rob!

I thought you knew! :p The new crusaders!:):)

Glad you got your Crusaders!:)

Rob,
Thought you were picking up the Grant?

Yes I will be getting it, but had to pause to reshuffle some funds this month, I'm now awaiting the next Dispatch before I hit that order button. Everytime K&C release something, along comes something I want even more!

Rob

I have to admit I have not purchased anything for a few months ......but will be there to purchase any RAF or Ancient Egypt for sure ......hope Andy reads this !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D:D

Rob,
Do you think that there will be anymore 8th Army releases this year. Or is it done Until next year?

Roger

Just got my second snow tiger and flak 41 and waiting on new spit and ME262:D:D
Would like to pick up the cossack sets
Regards Scott

I'm not sure the ME262 and ground crew counts for me as next since I pre-ordered it and it's evidently on its way (Thanks Treefrog!).

I'm trying to make smarter purchases this year - both in terms of price and space. It's easy with this hobby and this manufacturer to succumb to the desire to buy (almost) everything. I'm learning that less is often more...too many figures can make a crowded battlefield, while just a few can often tell a powerful story.

All that said...short term, Crusaders are my most likely next purchase list. The ambush 3 piece set, and the mounted Saracens.

Long term - dying for that Stuka.

I've had my eye on the ACW Union dismounted cavalry for a while, but still haven't bit the bullet.

Waiting on WWI fighting French. I have a dio right now set up of W. Britains British, German and French Infantry and French Cuirassiers (sp?) set up with the MKIV tank. If like K&C's British and Germans better, so if they came through with the French I'd be tempted to switch. Britains also has what looks like a nice trench/artillery emplacement dio coming out...I'm wondering if it would accomodate the WWI German artillery. Anyone know?

WWI aircraft could be a game changer for me.

I'm still trying to sort out my EA/AK displays. I've got a AK airfield I'm pretty happy with, and I like how my Vichy Camels go with the Desert Village Stables. But everything else is a mix - the Panzer II with Italian infantry, 2 German infantry and 3 EA infantry sets along with the whole SAS line- that I haven't been able to figure out how to display.

I've thought about constructing an ambush - I really like Collector's Showcase's AK sets - particularly vehicles with damaged treads and Germans jumping out of halftracks or off of tanks. But I'm not sure how they'd work together, I feel like I'd need to do that in person, which is hard as the nearest TS shop is 2-3 hours away (not including horrendous LA traffic, both ways). Please someone open up a K&C store in LA!

I digress.

As others have said, the closer it gets to dispatches the more I want to hold off to see what Andy's got next.

All good choices Joe, I'm sure you'll be pleased with the D Day sets, all the figures are just excellent. I also think the Monty figure is the best yet.

Rob

Thanks, Rob. After I acquire a few of these sets, I'll share some pics of them. I think I'll be placing an order real soon w/ TF for DD113. That will probably be my next K & C buy.

Roger

Hey Roger, well I wouldn't be at all surprised if we do see more releases for the 8th Army this year, I think we may see releases for some ranges spread across the year as opposed to just one big hit.

Cheers

Glad, to hear that there might be a chance. I like to really expand my 8th army pieces, this year. Well, at least until The D-day/ Market Garden pcs. comes out, Stuka, And back to BoB. With a touch Of Crusaders/ Saracen. If anything falters.
Thanks For the reply, Rob. I appreciate it.

Roger (Spartan71),
I think you need to do a little reading up on your Military History. This year on the 11th April we Downunder will celebrete the 70th Anniversary of the start of the siege of Tobruk. (EA range)
I am sure that Andy being a true Military Historian also has not forgotten the date that the mighty Australian 9th Division along with the 18th Brigade attached and some 1500 Indian troops and British armour and artillery held Rommel's Afrika Korp at bay until relieved.
The generalship of Lt.Gen. Leslie Morshead who commanded at Tobruk is not forgotten here in the Land of OZ.
So my friend back to the History books for you.:D
Cheers Howard

Dear Rob:

I have on order now K&C sets AK050 of a Mark III tank and K&C set EA029 of a British 8th Army Crusader Tank which will be displayed (by next month?) on a display wallshelve just below my "NORTH AFRICA - OCT. 1942" diorama of which I posted photos of @ the Forum last week. After that I intend at least to wait until K&C comes out with some more "action" sets for D-Day relative to US Army.

"Iron Brigade"

And very nice photos they are IB

Howard,
I agree with you, I do need to read up more on History. That is why I love this hobby of ours, For me each piece I buy, gives me the passion. To learn just a bit more as each one I get. That is why, I am hoping for more pieces to be made In the EA range. Be it British, Australian, Kiwi's, Canadians, Indians, etc.
just as long as they are not Marching (more artillery, Would be great), I am there to buy it.
Cheers,
Roger

I agreee - I don't collect marching WWII figures either.

But note - the Canadians did not see combat in North Afrika. Their first action was Sicily and then Europe from D-Day. We preferred the cooler climates. Let the Aussies and Indians have the hot weather. :D

Yep, Marching Is a turn off for me (easy targets, if you ask me);). And Thanks for the info about when the Canadians went to war:).
