Some advantages of being on lock down. I get some time to unbox my figures for the first time in two years since moving house

I'm doing the same thing, setting up my collection after 3 months when my toy soldier room was being renovated ......

From this ..... removal of windows, then fitting new walls and ceiling, power points a lighting.

The builders carried my cabinets back into the room, and I have now assembled and positioned new IKEA cabinets...

John,

I remember having my man cave built back in 2006. Like you, I photographed the whole construction and decorating process. Really good memories! Hope you enjoy yours as much as my son and I have enjoyed mine!:salute::

The setup has started ......

Mike,

the renovated toy soldier room is in the house, my workshop is in the 'back shed' a 6 x 10m building where I have my desk ( my old drafting table) overlooking the garden. It's also got running water, a sink AND the beer fridge :) It's also the only room in the house that has air conditioning and can connect to the house wi-fi !!!

I share the shed with my wife, who is fabric artist / quilter, so most of the time its full of boxes and pieces of fabric that she cuts up into little pieces, then sews back together in patterns .... but I suppose it keeps her busy, just like my painting :) :)

I'm really jealous.

I wish To have such a bright room with lots of light for my hobby.
With me there are 2 rooms in the basement each 20 m² with small windows but with heating.

Best

The window covering installer came in today and fitted new blinds to the room. We had been waiting for about 4 weeks, and weren't sure that the factory was still operating, but it was, so our job was completed. It's much better now without the sun entering and having the possibility of sun damage to the figures and the reference books.

I'm now over half way with the redeployment of my troops, got 4/7 cabinets full now.

A great room for displaying you collection. And beautiful when your figures are on display. It's nice to "revisit" your figures.

Great renovation. Great space. Cabinets are terrific...contents better!
