Some Horses (1 Viewer)

Got a couple more horses to prettify. Historex 1/30 and Italeri? 1/35 scale.

Both with Head and neck conversions.

Here's another hybrid horse. Notice the strange anatomy larger head smaller rump. this was deliberate for a perspective diorama that I am making.

I sculpted the mane on this horse. I intend for it to be a yeomanry and /or kettledrum horse mount.

As I was snapping some pics, I took another pic of the Versailles Ladies piece.

I scoured my collection for small horses and realised that these Mokarex Cafe Storme pieces would fit the bill with modification. These are smaller than 1/32 scale and the riders are not great castings. I probably will never use them as is but they could serve as basic armatures for detailed ponies.

Just dug out some small horses. Tamiya Dragon Donkeys. Some size variations and one is small enough to be a miniature horse or Eohippus.
As they are, I was never satisfied with the sculpting and pose. So I am using them for conversions.

I finally added a shiny nice new brass plate to my Versailles Ladies piece. Final pics taken showing the indifference both ladies are showing toward each other. Hope this captures the mood of the imaginary scene here.

Recently, I purchased a job lot of OOP kit castings. Here, 4 medieval horses were assembled to serve as mounts for unique proposed medieval knights. These horses have great detail and are from ex-EMI Warlord kits.

To create a unique knight, I modified a spare pair of lower legs. Then a torso was epoxied to the legs.

I selected a horse and posed the knight on it. Then I sculpted the skirts.

I continue to assemble the medieval horses that I've purchased. Here's three of them - nice hefty castings on sturdy bases.

I mounted the horses onto their bases.

Then I opened up two more new figure sets acquired in Spain. Started to fix up the horses.

These are really beautiful pieces.

Here's a short update of some of the medieval horses that I am currently assembling. I've started to add groundwork to the bases.

I had fun with converting some charging and leaping horse poses with mainly Historex parts. These were further animated to get the pose I wanted.
