I finally added a shiny nice new brass plate to my Versailles Ladies piece. Final pics taken showing the indifference both ladies are showing toward each other. Hope this captures the mood of the imaginary scene here.
I was watching the tv series Versailles on Netflix and it featured the infamous poisoning scandal during Louis XIV's period.

The article mentions Michel Tellier, the Marquis of Louvois who was featured in the series and reported the scandal to the king. Tellier is the husband of Anne de Souvree, featured in my model. Although I can't find any reference to her, it is very likely that she would have accompanied her husband's sojourn at Versailles.
The article also mentions the Duchess of Boullion who is featured my model. She was banished by Louis XIV because of this scandal.
Hence these two ladies were very likely to have met at Versailles, probably not as bosom buddies...
just going thru my unfinished projects. came across qe2 and decided to take it further. painted with oils and i changed the horse to black burma. it started as a w britains figure but i switched a historex horse for the queen. ill hv to wait for the paint to dry to fill in the obviou gap on the shoulder.
