Randy aka Polarbear and I both seem to share common interests in art, photography and model figures so I was going to just send this to him, but then thought that I'd share it here.

Inspired by the work of photographer, David Levinthal, who uses miniatures to create dioramas which he then photographs as part of an exploration of an idea or theme... from WW2 to Iraq, I decided to do something similar with my SOHK figures. Here's a couple from my series Indochine, which I photographed then produced as prints using an old print making technique known as cyanotypes which dates from 1842 and uses sunlight to produce the image. You can see a couple more on my blog http://julesfotos.blogspot.com.au/2012/04/indochine-eravel-levinthal-and.html

cheers

Very nice, and great theme. Makes me feel that I am viewing old photographs from a time period gone by.

Hi Jules

This is such a great subject.

Thank you so much for these inspiring images. I checked out the series on your website and like this one too.

Really nice, quite different from the normal pics that we see here.
The photo technique is superb. Makes it look like an old clip from the Charlie Chan movies.

To reiterate what was mentioned earlier, the photo technique used makes the pics look aged.
