Hi Guys,
Over the weekend I finished another little piece of our ‘Western Town’ backdrop. This time around I wanted a typical Mexican 'Cantina' that you might find down on the border or just over the border in Mexico itself.
As you can see it makes a pleasant and contrasting type of building to the more American woodframe types.
Next time around it might be fun to create a Mexican church or something like that. Anyway let’s see...
Best wishes and adios for now,

Andy

Andy, this is so cool. You're really drawing me to your Cattle Drive collection with all of these great pieces. Colors look great and I love the sign; a perfect building to showcase these splendid figures.

EDIT: on a side note, is that a new bar keeper?

The Cantina reminds me of the song, "El Paso", by Marty Robbins.

Andy...
you Cantina looks great!
perfect for your Vaqueros...

Rob...
love that song...
saw Marty Robbins in Las Vegas with my dad...
I didn't want to go but he begged me...
I loved it...one of the best shows I ever saw there...
had no idea he had so many hits!

Andy,
Yes, the Cantina looks great. Love the design. Hoping for more townsfolk soon.
Thanks
Steve

This range is looking excellent, not in my sphere of interest, but can still appreciate the quality from K & C when i see it.

Ola, the cantina is fantastic. I love all these buildings. I hope Andy releases them

Never saw him but my Dad loved his music as well. Bought him the Gunfighter Ballads CD; then years later, picked one up for myself. Always liked Big Iron and Cool Water as well. How cool to have seen him in concert (and in Vegas). Story songs are the best!

Sorry guys, not trying to get "off topic" from Andy's beautiful Cantina.

....I thinks its time to break out the Tequila Andy.:wink2:^&grin

Hey Rob, when I got a CD player years ago, I disposed of all my records except for that album as it belonged to my Father, some great memories there.

And now that vinyl costs so much especialy if the jackets are included,,i lost about 300 in hurricane Andrew all perfect,,homeowners said "Dam bad luck eh?"
For a large grin,,,dont laugh at an old soldier,,see the back cover of Elvis album "GI blues,," The young king in his Tanker,, cav get up ,
Photos were one of the reasons Pvt bromhead enlisted,,Plus going to germany to be with the music,,drinking and the frauleeelns'' Just like the movie said,,Somehow a year later it was on to Da Nam and the !st ID ,,,

Crazy prices for vinyl now, I dropped into a second hand bookshop yesterday searching for Military books and noticed several boxes of old records, cheapest was $40 {eek3}

Remembering my own situation..losing my record collection in the great hurricane of 92,,,my albums all had perfect jackets with a plastic wrap over them,,all stacked loosely etc..they would have lasted forever,,,,the few I saved had an audio hum caused by the labels ,,jackets , melting from the wetness,,unable to be cleaned which i tried,,,,as far as insurance great lessons are learned from what isnt covered like book collections,,
