Hi Guys,
As the weekend begins I thought it would be good to offer you a special preview of a major upcoming series... KOKODA The Long Bloody Trail.
The ‘Kokoda Trail Campaign’ was a series of battles fought between July and November 1942 in what was then the Australian Territory of Papua now New Guinea.
It was primarily a land battle fought under the most extreme conditions in one of the harshest and most difficult fighting terrains of any to be found in WW2.
Thanks to the continued interest and enthusiasm of many K&C collectors around the world and not just in Australia, we have decided to ‘explore’ this amazing campaign in, what I believe, will be a fresh and dramatic way.
Here is just a very small taste of what and how we will tackle this exciting subject.
All the best and have a great weekend!

Andy

Have the opposition ready to take on these guys and plenty of jungle to accommodate, so bring them on when you can Andy. Something to look forward to and think about in contrast to the strange times in our world. Robin.

Brilliant! A surer winner than Phar Lap Andy! I am sure that the series is planned with figures already in the pipeline.
But I just have to get my two bob's worth in here, no Kokoda series is complete without a couple of iconic / scared images to Australians.
Also the contribution of the Fuzzy Wuzzies without which the job could not have been done, deserves a figure or three.
Being sure Andy has it covered I cant wait for this series.....

I dont even collect WW2 but this guy looks great. I will buy a few fighting figures to make a diorama as a tribute to my fighting ancestors.
Good on you Andy, thanks mate
Jas

What a great looking first figure with lots of possibilities for the range and sure to be a huge hit with our collector mates down under :salute::

Steve

That sure is a great looking figure Andy! I look forward to collecting in this series to further my overall Aussies collection.

I hope there will be some nice Japanese sets as well? Generally speaking, some Japanese heavier armour like a new version of the Chi-Ha or other medium tanks would be great.

Crickey Andy, that's a turn up mate. :salute::

Outstanding stuff, looking forward to more of this one.

PS. Yes please as Wayne mentions a couple of Fuzzies would be awesome too.

So...more Ozzies?🤣You sure your HQ isn't in Brisbane?🤪

Scott

So, why not..?
I choose subject matter that interests me…and I hope interests many of K&C’s collectors.
Also pretty sure our HQ is still in Hong Kong…At least it was last time I looked!

This is tremendous, SO happy to see this series, it has legs too, so many great possibilities.

For those who have not seen it, I highly recommend the movie "Kokoda", it's pretty grim, but war is no day at the beach..........or a vacation in the jungle for that matter.

VERY happy to see this, thanks Andy...................

Andy,

I bet that you had this new series all organised for your Annual 'meet & greet' the Aussie customers in July this year, but sadly you can't head 'down under this year?

Other visits has given us the Australian Light Horse, and later OZ in Vietnam, so great to see the War in the Pacific coming out now.

I'm sure that they will be popular and added enemy troops can then be matched into other campaigns, like Fall of S'pore and the Island Taking Campaigns by the US forces later in the war ,

Well done,
John

Love this news series you have provided a snippet into. Having spent time in Bougainville in 2000 with the Peace Monitoring Group and reading up on our military history in the South-West Pacific I'm sure fellow collectors will certainly add some of your lovely chaps into their collections.

Kind regards,
GH

As a logical guess, Andy might have had this as a dinner figure on his originally planned July visit to the land down under. So hopefully we may still see this available perhaps in the July releases. Hope so as looking at the comments on this thread, members are keen to embrace this series. Hitting YouTube to once again bring myself up to speed on this battle. Robin

Well done, but i hope also in the release of some 14th Army "The Forgotten Army" soldiers...
