Do you guys think we will see a downed german aircraft down the line? Looks like the new british airman helping injured german airman will need one to go with?

Its a good question Craig, would be quite something and something of a first to make a purpose built crashed aircraft wouldn't it? Imagine it was a shot down ME109 (as this was a frontline escort and suffered as such) you can imagine bent prop blades, bullet holes, canopy gone etc. Guarded by the new figure and Pilot being helped away by another Tommy Soldier. Or maybe the Stuka will be the crashed aircraft!!!{eek3}^&grin:wink2: On the other side of the I can hear Wayne is shouting ' Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo'! :wink2:

^&grin You were quick!

Seriously those Stuka crew must have had some stones, I remember reading a Hurricane pilot testimony in which he said he used to feel sorry for them, ' You only had to get behind them and they just fell out of the sky '. Or just one round on one of those bombs underneath and WHAMMO! up she went.{eek3}

Rob

I agree with you guys. That bomb disposal set is unique and interesting.
Some other sets seem to repeats (Stugs etc) although I understand they are always popular with new collectors but for us oldies these new sets keep us interested.

Rob a crashed ME109 would be great I hope we get one! The details with broken canopy, bullet holes & bent prop blades would all add to a great looking set so hopefully! Maybe it could be the last limited edition of the year? Well I can hope lol

Put me down for a crashed 109. Loooooove the RAF line. Even just picked up a second Hurricane. This line got me interested in other planes too, but an RAF airfield will be the centerpiece. It offers a chance to go in different directions - combat and noncombat.

I agree Mitch, compared to the older ranges the RAF range is very new , yet it has got better and better and is fast looking like one of the very best K&C produce. Whenever I go to the London shows there doesn't seem to be that many companies who produce RAF figures, and none with anywhere near the scope and depth K&C do. Figures, vehicles, buildings and aircraft its all there, flagship range I say.{bravo}}

Rob

Rob I totally agree and that is a great way to describe the RAF range...K&C's flagship! It certainly seems to be the most exciting range to be involved in right now. Just picked up the RAF K2 Ambulance...very impressed, big solid model with loads of character. I am glad I decided to go down the non-fighting vehicles route as well as the planes!

Chris

Hey Chris, I fully agree with you . Not only in that the RAF is a superb range but the non combatant vehicles are a great addition to the range. I also agree re the RAF ambulance, it is indeed a good solid well made vehicle with the sort of character that makes these vehicles addictive to collect.

So how about the Tommy helping the wounded Nazi pilot Chris, will that set be on your list?

Cheers

Rob,

I think that one could go nicely in the 1944 section of the diorama, back in that country lane of the bocage passing by the make-shift Typhoon landing strip. Maybe the 'Tommy Patrol' following close behind just in case!

And actually Rob, is it actually a 'Tommy' or could it be one of Dad's Army boys? If so, of course it could not be in the 1944 Normandy diorama!

Chris

That's a good point Chris, I'm not sure to be honest, it could well be another of Captain Mainwarings boys couldn't it.

Gentlemen the RAF range is excellent, no doubt about it and I've collected lots of it however when we talk flagship for K&C then ofcourse it has to be OPERATION MARKET GARDEN! {sm4}

This could be a whole new thread...K&C's flagship! If a new law was passed and toy soldier companies were limited to one range (I have no idea why such a law would be passed :p ) which would it be???

Chris

That would be a nightmare choice would it not??? For me, though I would have to go with the RAF series. I had family serve in both battles and both hold enourmous bravery and sacrifice but, the BOB changed the war and its outcome IMO. It would be RAF all day long for me.
