Guys,

Here are the first shots of the Sturmtiger. We will be offering a bunch of previous German crews for them, and they won't be ready with the new paint style until monday, when I will be re-taking the pictures again. But I didn't want to leave you without the sneak preview throughout the whole weekend.

Just a couple of camo versions, so you can appreciate the model.

Enjoy ;)

Ana

Thats a couple of nice tubby ones.

Waiting to see them with the repainted crews.

Looks quite remarkable although I don't think it's a tank I would like to own. I'll wait for the Sherman, desert.

Hey Ana,
Since you folk have been working on the tiger chassis, i.e., Tiger I and Sturmtiger, how about a Jagdtiger??

Bill W

I like the Tiger 1, King Tiger, Jagdtiger, and Sturm Tiger, in that order.

But i'll see them with the crew on monday and reconsider.

Yes, Bill, we'll have a winter version. About the Jagdtiger, you know that we don't discard any idea :)

The Jagdtiger is based on the Tiger II chassis so once the Tiger II is released (hint, hint)...:)

Guys, I think Jagdtiger or King Tiger is a bit far off down the line.

Ana already said that after the Sturm Tiger, the Sherman is on next.

The Sherman, in my estimation, will be a very popular release, and consume Ana and the HB boys for 8 to 10 weeks at the very least.

Then as the trend we saw with the gold edition releases -

1. Late Tiger
2. Sturm Tiger (Both same chasis)
3. Sherman
4. X

If this a pattern, then surely the x surely will be the Sherman Firefly (same chasis).

The second guess will be the another Tiger 1 - Early and/or mid production.

If this occurs, then both too will be extremely popular, esp the early prod. Tunisian Tiger and the Mid prod. Wittmann S04 winter Tiger (with 88 kill rings)

And Ana and the boys will again be occupied up 8 weeks.

So everybody, it looks like the other 2 Tigers in the family will have to wait.

My guess will be around October at the earliest.

Saying that, i'll hope, and will be glad, if Ana and the boys proves me wrong, and produce the King Tiger or Jadpanther sooner than i expected.

my 2 cents.

sincerely,

nasir kasmani.

Didn't HB just recently released a Sherman? Then following the argument in this forum, the Sherman chasis will be the platform for the M7 Priest or the British version(Sexton) used by E8 in the African campaign. Same Chasis can be used to make the M32 Tank Recovery Vehicle (they did the Bergepanther for the Germans) and the M3 Lee Grant. E8 need fire support!

Hi N-P.

You are absolutely right, all you mentioned used the same chasis.

I chose the Firefly as i felt it will be the more popular choice after the standard M4 Sherman.;)

I do hope Ana does not pick up your idea all at once, as it may well mean that the King Tiger production may be pushed to next may at the very earliest!:(

Well, while I thought the Tiger was very nice, to me it just wasn't nice enough to warrant the price. This one, with the open hatches and hollow interior looks like it may be worth the expenditure. And they got it right and included the crane to load the shells.:p Very very nice, indeed. Certainly the best pure polystone armored vehicle I have seen. If there is interior detailing maybe the best overall armored vehicle. How about a photo looking in the open hatch so we can see?

Good on you Louis. A gentleman always. It does look very nice. Stepping in the right direction. I like it too. ;)

I was wondering about the same thing as well, if you could see in the interior. It's a fabulous looking model. Tracks look amazing as does the hatch work. One can only imagine what the Sherman will look like.

Vamp,

I actually have quite a bit of Honour Bound, the quality of which I think my posts have always praised. I have the winter bergepanther, winter knocked out panther, summer horse drawn field kitchen, summer german food line, the "Al Capone" Sherman (the only piece I am disappointed in, because the insignias are decals which are quite clearly visible when light shines on the tank) and the amphibious jeep. If the Sturmtiger has interior details to match the quality of its extraordinarily well detailed exterior, I will probably add it to my collection.

Louis that field kitchen is a great piece. I do not know much about the others though I have seen the Al Capone piece.
