Well, I totally struck out at the OTSN in my attempt to talk the Donzinos into making me a Sturmtiger and a Sherman with Foliage Camouflage. They basically told me my only chance was if they ever decided to sell one of the prototypes, but the phrased it in a way that seemed to say don't hold your breath, its not going to happen.

Oh sure, now that my cash flow situation would allow me to get the strumtiger and a sherman. Oh well, I can always hope for a cold day in hell.

Michael, I was in the same boat. Their timing really stunk for me. I couldn't really afford to order more than one when the five day deadline was announced, and now there is no way to get one. Such is life . . .

Since five collectors (myself included) have indicated a desire to get this vehicle specially produced on another thread, I thought I would pull up this thread so anyone else who might be interested could see the photographs, and maybe enough of us could commit to it to make it worth while for Honour Bound to consider doing it.

We understand. With the economy as bad as it is, it must just not be feasible. However, if it ever becomes possible, please keep it in mind. I would buy one of the prototypes if you would sell one.

If someone had the skills and equipment to take their molds and assemble them, there could be hope of having some of these old vehicles made. As it is, HB doesn't have the staff to do it anymore. Perhaps if someone had the right connections something could be done??

You know, Figarti does the "Artist's Club" where it uses its resources to produce items other makers cannot feasibly produce themselves, and splits the proceeds. Maybe if Honour Bound and Figarti could get together, the Sturmtiger, Tiger and Sherman prototypes could all be used to return the Gold Series to production. Perhaps the series could even continue (if I am not mistaken, a Firefly Sherman was supposed to be the next release).

That is a shame, the Honour Bound Gold Series was the best in the industry. Hopefully one of the other manufactures or inspired collectors will purchase the molds and reissue this terrific series.
