Hi Martyn,

Thanks very much for excellent photo illustrated answer. Much appreciated.

The easiest way to distinguish between Trophy and Dragon Crest (Sudan) appears to be the base.

Of course, there is also the box, the paint finish, the paint pattern of the soles of the saddle boots etc.

It not only applies to the 21st Lancers, but to the Camel Corps too.

Interestingly enough, the base seems to be an important element in identifying most figures.

Thanks again, Raymond.:)

Sure is fun Martyn watching you and Lawrence at play thanks for joining in Lawrece. Please continue.

Beautiful sets Greg.

I believe these are the 41st Bengal Native Infantry Regiment which mutinied at Delhi, 1857.

Trousers were the first item of uniform to be discarded in favour of the white DHOTI (loin cloth) but other items of company equipment were retained.

Please let me know if you ever want to sell them ;)

They are from the INDIAN MUTINY series and should have set#M3 on their box.

thanks for the nice comments. i am tempted to get some sets out of my curios because this picture taking can be addictive. i added the indian mutiny set under this heading even though it does not belong because it is one of my favorites.

Those sets you have posted are terrific. I never knew they existed. Thanks for sharing and posting those.

Figures are Trophy, except the Egyptian helmsman who is Little Legion

The boat is from Patrick Adams – British Toy Soldier Company
