Hi all,

Thanks for the messages and emails lately, for the most part I try to keep my personal life off all social media, forums etc. But in short 2018 was a terrible year, my wife and I decided to divorce after 16 years of marriage, needless to say a few on here have been down the divorce road and it sucks emotionally and financially...my hobby here basically last thing on my mind for a good while.......fast forward to today....I'm thinning my WWII except for a few dios but enjoying new roads such as Roman's, Crusaders!!...along with losing close to 90 pounds in weight and finding there is life on the track, hiking, playing ball again!!!! Life is in a better place today and look forward to returning more often to chatting more with my friends, mates on the forum...thanks again guys...Sammy719

Sorry to hear about your 2018 Sammy. It sounds like your in a better place mentally and physically now. Glad your still in the hobby and I totally understand. This is just a hobby life is what matters.

Sammy, I am truly sorry for your bad year. It makes your kindness to me even more important to me. I hope 2019 and years going forward are much kinder to you. -- Al

Hi Sammy, funny thing is I nearly sent you a message yesterday to see what you've been up to lately. I knew you had some personal issues last year but I wasn't aware of the divorce situation. It's good to hear you have a positive attitude with improving your physical health etc, that will improve your mental health as well according to the experts, I've proved that to myself over the years. I'm also continuing some changes in my collecting, now mainly Aussie items. People cope with loss etc in different ways but I know that talking to other members on this forum helped me to cope with my wife's death, which was 10 years ago last February. The years go faster the older we get, makes sense not to waste them mate.

Sam mate, you look fit as a fiddle and a chick magnet to boot! I know you have been doing it tough but staying positive is the way to go. I'm also glad you are staying in the hobby and I hope to see you posting again.

Tom
