Marcia Oakes Woodbury, wife of artist Charles Woodbury, who established the Ogunquit (Maine) School of Art in 1898 attracts the attention of strollers on the beach as she works on a new canvas. Mrs. Woodbury, like 19th C author Sarah Orne Jewett (The Country of The Pointed Firs 1896) was born in South Berwick, Maine.
